I chose chocolate sauce and whipped cream. It absolutely hit the spot. It was a little difficult to eat standing up with a hot chocolate in your other hand, but I managed. You just should have seen my face afterwards though!

So yes, compared to animal slaughter waffles it is expensive. 2-3€ extra for some fruit toppings is insane. The price scared my omni dad away and he got a waffle next door which really upset me, so maybe that could be a motivation to make the prices more reasonable.

The cream is sweet and the waffle just smacks. Would recommend.

I was so excited to finally try real Belgian waffles, and I couldn’t believe there was actually a place selling only vegan waffles!
Read moreI have to admit, the shop is a bit hidden inside a sort of shopping center that felt a little sketchy at first. But one big advantage of that was there were no long lines like at all the other “traditional” waffle places all over the city.
The staff member was super friendly. Although there was a big selection of toppings and sauces, I decided to go for a plain waffle without anything extra. I’m not a huge fan of super sweet things, and I’d heard Belgian waffles are already quite sweet on their own, so I wanted to taste just the waffle itself.
It was really cool to watch him making it fresh. The waffle was honestly delicious, but even though it wasn’t very big, I started feeling a bit sick halfway through. That definitely wasn’t the waffle’s fault - the dough and texture were great - it’s just that these waffles are simply too sweet for my taste.
I ended up finishing the rest later in the day and I’m glad I tried it, but my conclusion is: Belgian waffles just aren’t for me. I still prefer my own homemade waffles!
Still, for anyone who does love sweet treats, Veganwaf is a fantastic spot to try vegan versions of this classic Belgian delight.

In a little mall, the stand is very basic but the lady running it is lovely. I had a waffle with chocolate sauce and strawberries which was fresh, warm and fluffy. The waffle itself wasn’t too sweet, and there was plenty of strawberries added.

If you want a delicious vegan waffle this is the place to go. It's hidden inside a little market next to the Grand Place, keep an eye out for it or you will miss these amazing waffles. You can have a simple waffle or add toppings (which will be more expensive).

The dough the waffle was made of was delicious! I definitely recommend getting a “lighter” topping than chocolate (I.e. salted caramel), as the chocolate is very creamy and will make you feel “stuffed” very fast.

firstly a rather expensive waffle if you add either strawberry’s/banana. the waffle itself was good but nothing i’d hugely recommend. the girl behind the counter was very friendly and sweet and seemed to be being bossed around by the owner/ her older male colleague who wasn’t so friendly. you can get a hot chocolate which is a nice addition, and the vegan cream was lovely. no place to sit and the mall (?) that it’s in is rather depressing.

Personally i’d be as harsh as to say It really isn’t a must go for Bruxelles unless you are super crazy about the famous Belgian waffle! Otherwise the city is full of very amazing vegan cake options to munch on✌️😋
