Highly recommend this place! - Edit
The atmosphere of the place is calm and clean though we did arrive at a time before it gets crowded. Before 5pm they only serve drinks and simple dishes but that was no problem as we took a long time to study the extensive menu. They have lots of different things to choose from so I’m sure everyone can find something, whether it be more western or chinese flavour food. The staff was super polite, kind and attentive and very knowledgable about their menu. We shared 5 dishes between 2 people and it was the perfect amount considering we were both very hungry. Can wholeheartedly recommend the mushroom kebab and dai style shredded chicken. We definitely want to come back :)

Probably my top vegan experience in Shanghai - Edit
Fully pledged Resturant, very large menu, it’s sort of tapas style by the way you order smaller dishes. I ordered 3 to begin but the service is fast so don’t be afraid to start small and just keeping ordering more as you go. I went a bit overboard starting with 3, then another 3 and then added a dessert.
Read moreLarge part of the menu is fungus and mushroom based, lots of things my British self hadn’t come across but they also have more western familiar dishes as well such as a beyond meat burger.
My order included
Shredded bamboo snow fungus in sweet and sour sauce - simple and effective
Pan fried “egg” with seasonal flowers - very nice
Hedgehog fungus kebab - really enjoyed this
Orange jelly fungus tempura - not for me
Linguine with pistachio sauce - nice but I was getting full
Coo-Lao “meat” - tasty
Goma-pudding with coconut milk - enjoyed it but wanted the sold out cheesecake
Pros: Choices - Eastern and Western items , Staff friendly and basic English skills , Accepted VISA payment

Excellent - Edit
Everything about this place is upscale, except the price which is a bit high for china but more than reasonable globally. Dishes are in the 40-70rmb range.

Nice modern place - Edit
Nice and modern little restaurant that serves a mix of Chinese and western food. Some of the food is on the slightly fancier side without being fine dining. The food was a bit bland compared to what I was used to in China but otherwise good.
Read moreThe staff was extremely friendly and tended to us well. The waiter that served us spoke good English, was very helpful and made the experience very pleasant.
I think this is a good place to go for a nice meal with a friend or for those looking for western food. However, it was very busy when we went there so if you want to be sure to get a table you might have to book in advance.

Exceptional food and service! - Edit
We arrived in time for the start of the lunch slot at 11:30 on a Friday and it's a good job we did as the place was full within about 15 mins.. a testament to its excellence!
Read moreThe menu here is huge and the diversity of dishes is really exciting but also a little overwhelming. It took us a while to decide! I was thrilled to see so many different mushroom based dishes and a handy flavour profile for each dish. We ordered the hedgehog fungus kebab, the tofu pot, Coo Lao meat, the dai chicken and the durian balls between two and it was the perfect amount. Not only was it delicious, but also visually stunning! Food was served as prepared and was extremely efficient. Wait staff were very helpful and attentive. The price is extremely reasonable for the high quality ingredients and service! I would definitely visit again if I'm ever back in Shanghai.

Being from a western country this restaurant is amazing. Many options despite some not being available. Maybe because of too much demand

Clean, good food & really thoughtful service! - Edit
Their food is clean and tasty. Feels very natural and not mock meat heavy type. I got a lot of fungi based dishes, some veggie dishes, soup, noodles, rice and they were all very good. They're quite creative with the presentation as well. Overall had a good experience with food and was full after about ¥600/4 people.
Read moreAlso very impressed with their service:
1. Staff noticed I was coughing and offered to give me my drink in room temp instead of iced.
2. Staff noticed I was scratching my mosquito bites and gave me bite spray.
3. Staff very knowledgeable with menu and I felt very cared for overall.
I'd definitely come here again especially if in the area!
Pros: Thoughtful service, Good food , Reasonable price

Very good - Edit
This is a cool, modern restaurant on a nice street. We only had two dishes (a crepe and the baked tofu with French broom). They were both delicious. My only complaint would be that the portion size is small. If you're really hungry, you may need to order more than one thing.

hard to choose - Edit
The menu is huge so it was hard to make a choice. Everything we picked was very tasty and clearly cooked with love. We'll have to come back a few times to try the rest of the menu.

Vegegreat - Edit
This place is easily accessible from Madang Road metro station. We arrived at 13.00 and the place was packed but they found us a table for 3 quickly and given some little appetizers. I tried the burger which was a bit too fake meaty for me but the roast potatoes were really good, I'll try the other burger next time. My girlfriend and assistant shared the yam soup, some tofu & mushroom dish, a fried rice with mushroom plus the vegan cheese stuffed mushrooms which were amazing. We tried the 3 desserts, the cheesecake, the tiramisu and the affogato, all were delicious the tiramisu almost had like a brownie base. The staff were excellent and gave us all a free pineapple cake. Their sister restaurant Dancing Dumplings will re-open in March we were told.

Good but a bit expensive for the portions - Edit
I had the tofu pot and a burger, for ¥48 and ¥58 respectively, and afterwards I was still hungry, as the quantities are not large. The burger in particular was a little sad, the party so tiny in the bun. But the food tasted good. Service was slow, perhaps because the place was packed. The decor has a very light breezy feel.
