Offers daily menus with soups, pastas, seitan, tofu, tempeh, curries, house-made bread, various salads, and raw and gluten-free dishes, as well as sweets and cakes. Serves eco wine and beer, coffee and tea, as well as freshly squeezed fruit and vegetable juices. Located 10-minute walk from Ban Jelacic square, follow the Vlaska street to the east. Open Mon-Sun 12:00-20:00.

I'm amazed at how many positive reviews there are for this place. From what I've seen, the quality of veggie and vegan food in Croatia as a whole leaves a lot to be desired (compared to the rest of the EU) so maybe that's partly responsible. We ordered the daily specials menu; some barely-cooked gnocchi in a luke-warm cheese sauce (reminiscent of the kind that they cover nachos with at the cinema), unseasoned and overcooked spinach, a watery (but pleasant enough) lentil soup, a very basic unseasoned salad and a semi-decent seitan stew. The fresh orange juice was good. Service was friendly enough and the ambience is fine. It's passable but unfortunately I can't recommend it.

I recommend scheduling your trip to Zagreb during the week. Most restaurants, stores and cafes close up shop on Sunday especially, and sometimes Monday too. If you do end up visiting over a weekend (as we did), Vegehop has generous opening hours. They’re open midday to 9pm everyday of the week. If you do visit, go for the daily set menu or one of their burgers. Their daily menus offer a tasty assortment of soups, pastas, curries and various salads.

for vegan food in croatia, it’s pretty good. for vegan food in general, it’s nothing special. the falafel burger was pretty lackluster and didn’t come with a side. tried their most popular dessert with the cherries (i forgot the name) and i wasn’t impressed. but vegan options are few and far in between so i’ll take what i can get

A really great healthy option! - Edit
One of the only vegan restaurants open on a Sunday, we came here for dinner and it did not disappoint! We chose to have the daily menu which is a starter salad, soup and then a main course, all for 10 euro per person! Everything we had was pretty good and we left feeling full but also healthy which is always a bonus in my opinion. Also tried a dessert of bananas and apples and that was to die for!

I ordered the daily menu for 73 kuna, which consisted of soup, salad, and the main entree (4 separate dishes). It was just enough for my large appetite, and I felt that the price was reasonable for the amount of food. 5 stars for the varied and healthy offerings, the prompt/friendly service, and the chilled out remixes of 90s Mariah Carey.

Such an awesome place. Food is almost entirety vegan (one exception I think). Staff was amazing. So friendly and helpful! We enjoyed a daily special and a falafel burger. Delicious and good value. You should also go for the deserts and of course a local eco beer!

Vegehop is a nice and small fully vegan restaurant. Although it has a vegeterian option or two, those are very well market. It has lots of options from soups, main dishes to simple burgers and cakes. The service is great.
Read moreThe only downside I experinced second hand is that it’s a small place with about ~6 tables and it can get full around meal times so if you’re coming with a biger group you might have to wait 10-20 minutes for a table.

Lovely little place with a nearly all vegan menu (the 2 or 3 non vegan dishes are clearly marked with a red star). Great variety of main meals and all the cakes were vegan. Staff are so helpful and friendly and service was quick.

The options are varied and reasonnably priced. We took the table d'hote and had a nice soup, salad and the main course was amazing (hummus, samosa, something with beets and risotto). Very tasty. Loved it. Would go back.

This is a small restaurant. The ambient is beautiful, welcoming and cared for. The menu offers a wide choice of vegetarian and vegan foods. The staff is nice, helpful and explains the dishes carefully. Yesterday evening we decided to follow the nice guy who recommended the menu of the day. He loves the risk! In fact he proposed polenta tricolore to two Italians!!! The chef is very good (bravo!) and every dish was tasty and presented elegantly. We will be back here soon.

Read moreHad menu of the day for 79kuna. Pumpkin soup was very good but a miniscule portion.
Main course seitan and tofu tacos, veg, pesto and polenta. It was very pretty but that was it. Tacos were small spring roll type things, very thin, not sure if they were supposed to be hot or cold. Filo type pastry around them and I think had been in microwave. Same with the polenta.
Ate food, finished, read book, finished drink, waited, went to counter, paid and left. My plate may well still be sitting waiting to be cleared away, not offered desert or coffee.
Owner/manager needs to take control.
Pros: All vegan Nice enough place
Cons: Chef who cares about food wouldn't serve warm food, Waiting staff obviously just couldn't be bothered
