Great menu! Finally some good hearty food on Gran Canaria. Highly recommend the tortilla and the skewers. Very fresh juices. Super friendly Italian owner who speaks English too. Nice ambiance in this transformed garage. Wine is only by the bottle. Nice portions and it’s extremely affordable. For the 3 of us we had 7 dishes to share, a bottle of wine and water, and 2 juices for under €60!

Excellent Vegan Experience - Edit
We had a booking for a Monday evening. We chose the Teriyaki Skewers and the Classic Tortilla for starters and the Bolognese Lasagna and the Mushroom Ropa Vieja for mains with one Almond Doughnut for dessert. All were absolutely delicious. The red wine too. Small restaurant. There were 4 tables for 18 people maximum I think. Excellent service. #Veganuary

Plant-based haven in Las Palmas - Edit
Las Palmas doesn’t seem to be the most vegan friendly place on earth, so we were excited to find this cool little place that serves 100% procent plant-based food. Vegetopia is officially a takeaway restaurant, so there’s no restroom, but they do have four small tables where you can sit and eat. The menu is varied, healthy and affordable. Nothing fancy, just a pleasant five star experience.

The vegan option in la Isleta - Edit
Vegetopia moved the location and has adapted the concept. Now it's a combination of a restaurant and a food take away place with a weekly prepared menu for a discounted price you can order in advance to collect on Sunday and Wednesday.

Updated review: Since the last time I was here they have changed their local and now have three small tables, apart from that they do the same delicious vegan food. I came here for lunch with my family. The menu have a lot to choose from. We shared two starters, a “combo” veggie main plate where you can try 4 of their mains on one plate and a brownie and sponge cake for dessert. It was really really good everything.

Vegan heaven in Las Palmas - Edit
Finally visited the new location of Vegetopia. If you are in Las Palmas, make sure you visit this place!!! They do not only make amazing vegan food, but also actively support the animal rights movement. You will find a wide range of cold and warm, super tasty food. How about a vegan version of the tradicional Canarian ropa vieja or the best tortilla con chorizo you can find on the island? Not to forget the jammi desserts. Enjoy!

No tengo fotos pero he probado la lasaña, la tortilla con chorizo, albóndigas, ropa vieja, lentejas y de postre los snickers, bounty y brownie y todo buenísimo, siempre tienen algo para satisfacer cualquier antojo. Comida casera y variada, lo único que lamento es no poder ir más veces.

Really glad this small place was close to our apartment. Really great food and lovely owners. We frequently got the chorizos to spruce up our home cooked meals or to eat while hiking.

Finally we made it to Vegetopia. We chose a lasagne, a tortilla and a gaspacho that we enjoyed sitting by the atlantic sea. Stefano the owner is totally nice and the taste of the food is amasing. Lot’s of love in it!

Vegetopia is an awesome small restaurant with amazing vegan food. Unfortunately I was only able to try a couple items, but the quality was great and I would go back again if I had the time! It is mostly to go food, but there are a few spots to dine in. There are also a few local products for sale near the register. The owners are so nice, please support this great local vegan business!!

Read moreWe tried the Thai curry, Chorizo tortilla, seaweed salad and Ropa Viejo (local Canarian dish). I loved the Spanish dishes the most - Ropa Viejo and Tortilla. The Ropa and Thai curry were €7.50 each and came with rice, there was a generous portion of both with lots of cashews, vegan protein etc.
There’s about 8 seats in the whole place, so you can eat there if you want to, but the atmosphere is definitely more of a takeout place or where you quickly stop for lunch.
We were staying 40 mins away by walking and would make the journey back to eat here.

I felt very welcome and everything available was explained to me. The daily special was a (really delicious) Thai Stew, which was heated up for me, so I could take it to the sea shore which is just a few steps away. The apple crumble pie for desert was a delight, and the vegan lasagna I took with me for the next day was really, really good.

The thai wrap was rather blend but the mexican wrap was great!
The nomeatballs were not our taste but i can imagine that others love them.
The staff was great and lovely and helpfull.
It is always a treat to be in a full vegan resto, and here the choise is great!
