I was really excited to try this place for months and I love supporting vegan businesses, so it pains me to leave a negative review, but unfortunately I had a negative experience ordering from here and I wouldn’t recommend them.

They offer 2 hour delivery windows that you schedule ahead of time, and it reached 15mins after that 2 hour window and we hadn’t received our delivery yet, so I tried calling them but it went to voicemail. I then messaged them on their business Facebook account to try and check on the status of our order, a bit nervous our order had gotten lost somehow since we didn’t receive any delivery updates besides the initial order confirmation email when we purchased the food several days beforehand. Wellness Sushi read my message on Facebook and left me on read, they never replied. Our food was delivered shortly after I contacted them, but it left a sour taste that they ignored my inquiry altogether and I didn’t get any response. The meal was for a special event so it would’ve been nice to get a heads up that the delivery was going to be late, but even if they couldn’t manage that for some reason, they would’ve came across better had they replied to me in any way after the fact.

The presentation of the sushi platters looks appetizing no doubt, but the quality and taste of them was subpar. It seemed the food had been sitting out for awhile and it wasn’t fresh. The sauces on it drowned out the flavor and while it looks like there’s a lot of variety on the plate, all of the rolls largely tasted very similar and none of them stood out. A minor part but still worth mentioning, I’d recommend using your own soy sauce—the one they supplied tasted very off, and we were about 10 pieces in when we realized the soy sauce that came with the meal was not doing the sushi any favors, and once we switched to a standard soy sauce we had on hand, the sushi went from unfavorable to ok.

I hate to say it but I would purchase the small sushi trays sold at grocery stores before I’d order from here again😒and I wish I could support this place, but with the low quality of the food, the hefty prices, and the poor customer service, I wouldn’t recommend Wellness Sushi. I hope our experience with them was a one off and that others experience better, but regardless I don’t think I’d order from them again. For nearly $90, I’d rather go all out at Hapa or Blue Sushi.

Picked up food here and the person who gave me my food told me that the guy in the kitchen loves me. So creepy.

Food was nothing special and not worth the trip there.
