Excellent food, big portions, varied menu - Edit
Ahimsa get a lot of ticks from me. Everything we ordered was delicious (the lasagna was one of the best I've had in awhile, and I just came from Italy), the portions are generous, and there is a lot of variety in the menu. The gyros is similar to its meat counterpart and the quesadilla has a thick and gooey cheese. Prices are good. Note that tips are suggested.

Cute little spot for any meals, from breakfast to dinner - Edit
The place is very cute and offers both indoor and outdoor seating. Ideal for vegan breakfast (oatmeal, croissant, etc.), but also for the other meals of the day (cevapcici, noodles, etc.). The staff is very friendly.

The prices seemed fairly high, and I don't remember what it was like when I was last there a year ago.
I had a lemonade with mint and an Ahimsa Protein Plate. I especially liked the gyros. The rest was alright, though I would have liked more volume in general.

Staff was friendly and spoke English.
Menu available in both English and Serbian.
There's no place to sit inside, there's only a couple of tables outside.
I had the buffalo cauliflowers and (I think) the tex mex burrito to eat there.
The food was served as if it was takeaway with a wooden spoon, which I found odd. I would have appreciated a plate and proper cutlery.
The food tasted well, though neither of the two items, which were labeled as spicy on the menu, seemed to warrant such a label.

Read moreNo longer a little place with no seating Ahimsa now has loads of table space both inside and out. It’s now situated just round the corner from on of the most touristy cobbled streets in Belgrade. The food is still great, not overly fancy but tasty and healthy. Only two raw cakes were available as dessert options and not an impressive selection of juices but the food will take me back there. Good to see a vegan run vegan business expanding!
Update on 15/11/22
Today we had the pumpkin soup that was delicious and the mexican curry with rice which was ok. The star of the day was the Philly sandwich which was a decadent tasty delight and I could have eaten two or three on the spot just for the pure joy of it! Still no desserts but I was told they may happen.

This nice little place is located behind Monks Bar, walk down the Monks Bar alley to the end and you are in the Ahimsa courtyard, should be a nice quiet spot to eat when the weather is more clement.
At the moment they are focusing on take away, but I ate out in the cold rather than face the smokey bar option.
The food isn,t fancy but it’s good and wholesome and homemade. I had a tasty filling white bean soup and a cveatipi or however the local sausage is spelt! The sausages came in a good big bread bun.
No desserts or cake but hopefully they will come...

Really tasty food. 🥰 I did not like that you can’t sit, food is only to take away, but you can sit in a cafe next to a restaurant because they have a deal, you can eat in that cafe food from Ahimsa, but also need to order drinks there.

This is one of the best if not the best vegan place in Belgrade. Food is flavourful and tasty and freshly made. We tried mushroom soup, rice with vegetables that tastes like fried rice and cevapcici. All delicious. We will be coming back definitely.

Lovely staff, had the tofu scramble for breakfast and a hot immune-boosting drink. I added a bit more salt and pepper to my dish, but I was very grateful for the nutrients and hot food.

Cute co-shared outdoor space with the bar next door. Covered in leafy overhanging tree foliage for some nice shade on a hot day. Pretty extensive vegan menu for a small place. I tried the not egg salad wrap (chickpea salad), and it was quite good. It wasn’t a hefty portion but it wasn’t tiny. Could have used a side or a slightly bigger wrap. Overall delicious and good vibes, would eat here again.

I also got a side of mac and cheese, which was absolute fire; but I was so stuffed I had to save it for later. I may come her everyday of this trip.

Such a cute restaurant. It’s located in a courtyard type area and it’s just cozy and just really cute! They have so many great vegan options and all of them sounded great! I got the Philly Cheese Steak and the eggless salad wrap to go. Both were lovely!

Located at the end of an alley, only outdoor tables. I had a burger that was good but the bun was industrial (the typical burger wasn’t available), the fries were delicious. I also had a take away seitan panini sandwich for my bus ride and it was good. The staff could be more friendly and welcoming.

We ordered the chickpea quesadilla and the cevapcici (vegan interpretation of a local BBQ favourite). The food tasted fresh and we loved both options. One of the staff was teaching us how to pronounce cevapcici, overall we definitely recommend visiting if you get the chance!
