Handy before crossing with the Ferry - Edit
Had the Aubergine Sandwich and was pretty good. The lady is nice and it can be a good spot to watch people go by. I would say that if you are too hungry one sandwich might not be enough

Nice little kiosk with great view - Edit
We went there to taste the vegan delight sandwich, which was very good. It is quite pricy and not very big but the taste was good. You have a great view over the Ij towards central station.

Convenient for vegans - Edit
A small cafe serving coffee and sandwiches right next to the ferry dock at Ijplein – impossible to miss. Unfortunately it is not fully vegan or vegetarian, but the menu is divided into vegetarian, vegan and non-vegetarian sections, so it's easy to choose exactly what you want. There are 4 vegan sandwiches, and 6 vegetarian options; I have uploaded a picture of the menu if you would like to have a look. Telephone ordering is possible. A fellow customer told me that a local newspaper has recommended this cafe for vegetarians, and must say I can see why! As the ferry from Central Station is free and takes only 5 minutes, it's also in a great central location.

Sandwiches with vegan pesto - Edit
Very tastful sandwiches. Al Ponte has 4 vegetarian and 4 vegan options for sandwiches. 2 with vegan pesto en 2 with vegan olive tapenade. The Italian owner serves soja cappuccino too and the coffee is very good. A lot of the products are organic. Very special kiosk, I will visit it as much as I can when I'm in Amsterdam.
