Great vegan selection at almost US prices, but well worth it - Edit
Went here once for a beautiful sunset dinner at their beachfront tables. They don't rush you, so you can have a nice leisurely dinner. In addition to my cocktail, I started with an incredible salad that mixes mango and lettuce, but is made incredible with what they told me is this black vegan shrimp sauce/glaze (see photo). Just amazing. A must try.
Read moreI also had a vegan burger with vegan cheese with good fries, which was tasty and filling. You can dip the burger in this incredibly rich vegan aoili, which was very special. The salad that came with the burger it was a little superfluous after the earlier salad that I ordered. But not the end of the world.
This restaurant is part of a higher-end hotel and the prices were reflected it, but I found them to be well worth it. They have a full page of vegan options. This is the kind of place to save when you want to treat yourself to a great dinner, and is still no more than you might pay in a global north country. And the view of the ocean, especially at sunset, adds even more value. I definitely plan on going back before I leave the island.

Don't bother - Edit
I was really looking forward to staying here, I selected the hotel basednon location and the fact that they promote a full vegan menu. While the resort is quite nice and the service is lovely, the resort and the food is very overpriced and terrible. The vegan food menu is a joke, a few deep fried cubes of tofu dripping in grease does not make an appealing dish. Breakfast was even worse, a tablespoon of what they called tofu scramble and some very greasy dehydrated mushrooms - probably one of the worst meals i have ever had ever. After one meal, I ate every meal off site. There are many other issues with this so called "resort" but I'll leave that for another review. But if you are thinking about staying in this place for the advertised full vegan menu, do yourself a favour and look elsewhere.

Ambassador of delicious vegan menu! - Edit
I recently visited this resort and collaborated with them to help me bring my Kidz Groove Dance program to the special school in Kalibo. When I found out that they have a vegan menu, I knew that they are the perfect partner for our awareness and inclusion campaign.
Read moreI tried most of their food from their mindblowing vegan filipino breakfast with Tofu scrambled eggs, tapa and cornbreef, to their bicol express, sweet & sour fish, adobo and many more! 😋 I still can't stop thinking about it. Their vegan menu alone is enough reason for me to travel back to Boracay.
Not to mention the friendliness and accomodation of their whole staff, especially their general manager,
Ryan Alba.
The rooms are beautiful and huge! They also have a relaxing live acoustic music followed by a breathtaking fire dance entertainment during dinner time.
In the morning they offer yoga by the beach. Shout out to teacher Joy for an amazing yoga experience! They also have a "Happy Walk" with their group of guests every Monday at 6am.
The experience was divine and memorable. I'm so proud of this resort and all the good things they do for their community and their guests. I will definitely be inviting all of my friends and family to stay here when they visit Boracay. ❤️ I can't wait to go back!

Wood fired Brick-oven Vegan Pizza - Edit
The Primavera Pizza is one of my favorite foods here in Al Fresco. It's abundantly sprinkled with their restaurant-made cashew cheese, and don't forget to finish it with their moringga chilli oil. It's my favorite taste so far! It provides a beautiful dimension of flavors. And if you're curious about other flavors, you can also request to combine two flavors in one pizza. They nail the savory flavors perfectly! Highly recommended🤍

One of the best vegan spots in Boracay - Edit
If you're traveling to Boracay and are looking to enjoy delicious and healthy vegan foods, I highly recommend Al Fresco Restaurant. Situated right on the beach, it offers a stunning view of the turquoise ocean, complemented by a delicious and healthy vegan menu. The dishes, crafted with local ingredients, are not only nourishing but also packed with amazing flavors. Beyond that, Al Fresco Restaurant is a perfect spot to enjoy the beauty of Boracay while indulging in meals that are good for you and the planet.
