Not good

We went here for the vegan breakfast as we were really craving this. It was ridiculously small & basic. The sausages were a bit strange- tofu based but in the end were the best things about it. They served it with non vegan butter which we let the staff know. They also have hardly any vegan options. It was also way over priced

A Nice Change

I really like the atmosphere in this place, it feels quite different to the usual vegan/vegetarian restaurants in town. We ordered the sausage and mash and the falafel burger. Although I felt the mashed potato could have been a smoother consistency, we really enjoyed our food. It felt homely and comforting. They usually have guest ales on too, last time we had the Hawaiian beer, it's was amazing!

Just Alright.

I had tofu Tom yam and it was just okay. Lacked flavour and I had to add some chilli.
Very nice mango smoothie however and reasonably priced. Probably wouldn’t rush back but it was fine.

Ok, not great

Western bar, relatively expensive food, but nice enough. The falafel burger is ok, not great. They do have cider though, so there's that.

Pros: Cider

Cons: Relatively expensive

Ok

Food was pretty pricey and not that exciting or authentic. Massaman tasted like a different curry entirely, Tom Yum was nice but have had much better for half the price. Feels like being in a UK pub as everyone was a Brit or Aussie - good if you’re homesick 😂 vegan options are clearly marked on menu and there’s quite a lot of choice

Thanks for the review. We are English/Thai owned and offer a mix of Thai and western food in the heart of the tourist area. This should explain the number of western customers and the lack of Thai authenticity! Glad you enjoy the more authentic feel and prices of the Thai owned restaurants but just a heads up - you're almost certainly not eating vegetarian. All my kitchen staff confirm that when you order Tom Yum, Massaman etc, most Thai establishments use a pre bought paste that will contain shrimp paste and/or fish sauce. Maybe that is the taste difference in your Massaman. If this upsets you I'd strongly recommend sticking to veggie places or places like my own that clearly mark the dishes and make them separately!

Great Vegan Options

Although this restaurant also serves meat, they have recently made a huge effort with the vegan food. They have some very unique dishes which are now all marked clearly on the menu. For example, they do a vegan roast dinner which no other restaurant in Chiang Mai offers at the time of writing. Not sure if you need to order it in advance. They also do a pulled jackfruit curry which is also unique and tastes fantastic! The bar also generally has a great atmosphere and the management are really awesome people. Prices are very competitive especially for the centre of town.

Pros: Unique food, Cheap, Fun place

Cons: Not fully vegan or vegetarian
