Serves meat, vegan options available. Tiny place offering sushi and Asian dishes. Around 4 items are marked vegan suitable: sushi, a soup, a tofu/veggie dish with rice. Open Mon-Sat 12:00-22:30.
Called to order and was hung up on three times. Was really looking forward to having this sushi again and had been for a long time. Ruined mine and my husbands date night.
The sushi is okay, definitely not the best and too much raw bell pepper for my taste but the price is awesome! 23€ for a huge plate for 2-3 people depending on your appetite :)
EDIT - The price for the big vegan plate was changed from 23€ to 30€. Not sure if it's quite worth it. For that price, I would rather eat some really good sushi at Buddah's.
I live in Mainz and come here when I fancy tasty and inexpensive Sushi. The place is suitable for vegans (my roommate) and non-vegans (my boyfriend). Here I found out that I actually like vegan Sushi way more than fish Sushi.
I don't agree that the place is not pleasant. I mean, it is an "Imbiss", but still there are usually young people eating and chatting in there and the staff is very friendly, which creates a good vibe. It just might arrive that there are no free seats (which is a good sign, right).
Btw you can also order food other than Sushi, like fried noodles for example. The noodle portions are super large and cheap, but you should not expect many vegetables in there for the price.
This is the first place in Mainz which offers sushi that is clearly marked as vegan. The place is located very close to the bus and tram stop 'Münsterplatz' but is also easy to overlook. It looks a bit dodgy from outside but has a large advertisement for their vegan dishes.
I just had their (vegan) sushi which was prepared fresh and was of a very good quality. Nothing extraordinary experimental but very nice and fresh. Their prices are extremely cheap (the small serve has 22 pieces of sushi and was enough for two of us, the large serve for 20 EUR will fill 4-5 people). The seating in the restaurant is not very nice, there is no outside seating available and one sits very crammed in there. You can take away their dishes though (unfortunately in disposable plastic containers).

Good value for money - Edit
As others have remarked, this isn't the best vegan sushi you'll ever have, but it's a lot for a very good price.

Standard Sushi - Edit
It‘s a small place with a large menu. It lacks in vegan creativity and flavours. Good but nothing special.

love the vegan sushi platter - Edit
Clearly marked vegan sushi platter. Would love to see mango or tofu added to it, but it really hit the spot when I was craving sushi.

Cons: no outside seating, not a very cosy place
