Really bad fries. Really bad. - Edit
I ordered a falafel wrap and fries. Apparently the falafels are usually crispy and chewy. Today they were not. They also had a spice in it that was quite overpowering. I didn’t enjoy it at all. But even worse were the fries! They were so oily I couldn’t taste the potato! We had them remade and they were still the same. Very disappointing experience!

Very good! - Edit
I took a falafel pita and combo plate with falafel, hummus, baba ganoush and tahini sauce. Everything was pretty good, and probably too much for me, barely could finish both dishes. The cafe looks nice and clean.
Read moreHighly recommend! I came 10 minutes before closing time and they still served me without any questions, and i stayed almost 30 minutes. The staff was very nice and friendly.

UPDATE - Edit
UPDATE They are no longer vegetarian as they now serve chicken. Name changed to Baan express....
Read moreWe went to try the place out as it is brand new and were pleasantly surprised by the lovely food they sell. We bought the Pita falafel (twice), pita hummus with eggplant and other yummy veggies, hummus with pita bread. All is fresh and the pita breads are amazing (they make them fresh in the kitchen). The kitchen has a big window in front of it, which allows you to get a peak of the kitchen. Nice interior, friendly for veg, vegan and raw. Definitely try it out if you're in Rawai!

AMAZING!!! Absolutely the Best Falafel! - Edit
We've been in Rawai for 3 days so far, and ate here 3 times and took home twice. The food is amazingly delicious and the service is first rate as well. The owners were gracious and shared with me their quest of trial-and-error until they came up with their recipe for the falafel and pita - which are unmatched. Coming from NYC I've had my share of great Middle-Eastern food, but Vegie Ban is the best. If you are from NYC, Mamoun's Falafel is the only one that comes close to the one at Vegie Ban. I plan to buy a bunch of their whole wheat Pita (which has a taste of sour-dough) before we leave. I rarely rave about a restaurant as I did here, but I couldn't resist doing it this time.

The best falafel on the island!!!! - Edit
This place is fantastic. My husband and I live in Phuket and it's definitely one of my favourites on the island. The place is gleaming - it's extremely clean and well appointed. Their falafel/mezze plates are so ridiculously good - the falafel is beautifully seasoned, the dips are flavourful and the pita is warm and delicious. Plus the service is quick and the prices are really good! I couldn't recommend Veggie Baan more highly.

Great pitta, falafel and humus - Edit
The pittas with falafel and humus are very good. Prepared "subway" style so you can pick and choose all your toppings.
Read moreWe had 2 pittas when we went as they were not that big or filling. We returned a 2nd time and found that the prices had gone up so decided not to eat there, we found it a little expensive for the portion size on 1st visit so with the price increase we thought it was unreasonable. Perhaps we are too used to Thai prices.
Pros: Excellent food, Custom topping selection
Cons: Small portions, Expensive

Very good pita bread and falafels - Edit
Nice new vegetarian restaurant. They make their own pita, which is very good. Their falafels and hummus are also very good. Had a few of their stuffed pitas, very tasty. The price is moderate, worth every cent. Tried their dessert which was alright but nothing special. Worth the visit

I stopped in on Pita making day and it smelled like heaven. Best Falafel on the Island, so light and moist. Heres the deal. Get a half Sabich (eggplant) sandwich, spicy, & a side of falafel. Thank me later. Also super friendly service and owner, Gili!

Good stuff - Edit
I've been here three times and if I had more time I'd come back. Falafels are normally just ok, kind of dry and bland but somehow enjoyable for me. These are simply much better. Moist and flavourful. The hummus dipping sauce was surprisingly good (I normally don't love hummus) too.
Read moreI kind of wish the menu had a couple more options but I kind of understand that they are sticking to what they do well. The few things they sell taste great. Another small gripe is the price of soft drink, which just shouldn't cost so much in Thailand but I think the food is priced appropriately so you can just grab a drink from 7/11 or pick up a coconut or something.
If you're sick of Thai food or just in the area, you should check this place out.
Pros: Great tasting food at a fair price
Cons: Limited menu, Shop looks closed sometimes when it's open, Expensive soft drink

Here is the deal, I'm no falafel expert by any means but Damn this place was on point. Flavors were banging, moisture in falafel was banging, the pita bread was banging, hummus was banging, price per serving considering this is an air conditioning restaurant was banging. Plus you can buy a stack of pitas to go! Place is banging and needs recognition.

Do yourself a favour and stop by when in Rawai. - Edit
you know that feeling when you walk out of a place and go wow that was good, the freshness, the taste, the size of the meal and value for money. That's this place.
Read moreThey do falafel's made to order and I don't remember tasting falafel's that good in a long time, made with zucchini I think.
Plus their beetroot homus is phenomenal and their original hommus fresh and natural. 😋😋
Huge stacked pita with eggplant, falafel's and salad. Add anything to it you like, mushrooms, spicy tomatoes, eggs, choose your hommus and add extra sauce.
Definitely try the beetroot hommus
