From out of town and took some friends here for dinner. Was very excited to try it. The food was fine, but for Mexican it really wasn't that flavourful. It missed all the bright flavours, like coriander and lime.
Read moreFor the price I would have expected more. $34 for the fable tacos was a lot. I also got a signature cocktail for $24, it was fine but full of ice and really nothing special about it, just seemed like a drink mixed in the glass.
Felt a bit bad dragging my friends there, none of us were impressed, sadly. Food was fine and we ate it all, but won't be going back there considering the price.
Pros: All vegan! , Corn chips were yummy
Cons: A bit bland, Expensive , Strong incense smell in restaurant

Been here several times this time wanted to try the new birria tacos they were good but not amazing not fried enough and expensive the Quesadilla is always good and the Creme Brûlée amazing. Drinks are pricy but a good experience anyway.

I haven’t been here in years and I can say the menu has improved a lot. The food tastes fresh and full of flavour. We each had 3-4 tacos, corn and the dessert but didn’t feel disgustingly full. The services is incredibly fast with food making it to the table within 10 minutes of ordering. Definitely need to book in advance as it is busy. Good meal and drinks but is very expensive.

This place is just amazing. We had some nachos and the bowl with eggplant. It was incredible. The whole restaurant is vegan. Would definitely go again 😍

We didn't book and got seated at a shared table on a Monday evening. I had the eggplant taco as a bowl and the eggplant itself was lovely and crispy, the rest of the bowl was quite basic.

Read moreOnly given 4 stars due to being denied a drink, also nachos were served before beverages were delivered - they were cocktails but would have liked drinks first. It felt like they wanted us out of there.

Taco Tuesday! Amazing vegan tacos! Arrived in Sydney. Dropped bags off and went straight there. With only 15 mins left till the kitchen closed. We tried them all. So delicious! Cool decor, Great atmosphere and friendly staff.

Came for dinner, first thing we noticed walking into the restaurant was a stong smell that reminded us of cleaning products used in public restrooms. Aside from that, the restaurant has a cool vibe and I could see it being a good place to come with a group for drinks.
Read moreFood was 3/5, not terrible but not great. We had Tuna Tostada, an Asada Skewer and some Tacos. The consommé that came with the Birria tacos was really good, but the fable meat was a bit dry.
Bottom line: go to Vandal if you are wanting some good Mexican food.

$12 taco Tuesday! And boy are these Tacos fire. Took two non vegan friends here and both said these are better than any tacos they’ve had with meat in. Their cocktails are incredible too. And they actually know how to cook Eggplant.

Lovely welcoming and helpful staff. Had just arrived in Sydney from Melbourne and found this place via Happy Cow, a short walk from my accommodation. Decided on the Taco Tuesday special and tried Chipotle Potato

w/ Red Cabbage, Chipotle Mayo, Pickled Onion & Coriander. All packed a flavour punch. Jackfruit Tinga cleared my sinuses (in a good way), the Eggplant miso was a delicious surprise, but my favourite was Chipotle Potato. Really fresh and tasty food.

Soggy and expensive - Edit
This restaurant was recommended to me by a local, I was really excited to go. Usually I don't mind paying more if it's great food, but I was quite disappointed. My tacos were really soggy and it's very expensive for what you get. Taste-wise it was good but not great. Quesadilla was yummy but again, not worth $13. It's a shame because staff members are friendly and the atmosphere is cool. I wouldn't recommend coming out of the way for it though.
