Expensive Bistro - Edit
Barbarella is a small bistro in the center of Ljubljana. I didn't find the atmosphere as loving as it looks in the pictures. My salad was fresh but didn't come with much dressing. For the fact that it is self-service and the salad was rather small, I found the price too high.

Barbarella Juicebar has a few seats only and - at least in mid-April - there was no outdoor seating, so it´s rather designed for take-out. Most food is pre-packaged, like the salads and the salad dressings, even if you eat them on the spot. It´s also a bit of a shame it´s all single-use packaging. I had the protein salad, which was arranged like a bowl and came with quinoa, avocado, beans, chickpeas, broccoli, lettuce, and a hint of carrot. I quite liked being able to choose my dressing. It tasted really good even though I would have liked to have a bit more dressing and warm quinoa, chickpeas, and beans. I couldn‘t resist having a home-made Twix bar, which tasted like caramel and chocolate heaven and was definitely worth its (high) price (€3.90!) The service was OK.

My favorite cafe in the city - Edit
I always come here for coffe, dessert or a quick lunch. Everything is vegan and all the dishes are full of color and flavor. Personally I'm very picky with desserts, so I don't like all of them but I'm a big fan of the espresso cake!!

I only wish it was a bit cheaper because I can't afford to come here every day. But well... it's in the center and the quality is good, so at least you know what you're paying for.
Btw I just noticed the description says they have cow milk for coffee which is not true. There is only plant based milk available.

Love this place, love their regular salads and the food from their daily offers is always tasty as well (especially the taco bowl).

They always have some type of savory pie on their menu and most of them are delicious. It is served with a salad but the portion is on the small side.
Nothing is cheap but most dishes are 7-9€.
Takeout comes in eco friendly packaging but the lid is plastic.
Most dishes seem very healthy, the ingredients are fresh and natural.
They also have many juices and many vegan desserts including vegan cheesecake, brownies and cakes (selection varies every day).
Good location, they have tables outside but very few indoors, and the space is quite small.

We went there twice for breakfast and we took a takeaway lunch. The food there tasted good, the selection was very big. Unfortunately they didn't have the avo toast, although it was on the menu. I really reccomend the vegan quiche!

We had smoothies and spinach tofu pies. The pies were very delicious, the terrace is small but in the heart of the city. It's a little bit pricey maybe, but plus is that vegans can have a healthy and delicious meal to go/brunch in the center.

Their best dish in my opinion is the curry: served with rice, chickpeas, broccoli and cauliflower, it is absolutely delicious. The only downside is that it is usually only served on Fridays. It is also a tad bit expensive - 9€ (but totally worth it, honestly).

I had a chance to try them at the food market on Friday and their burger was amazing. Even my nonvegan parents liked it . However the mango cheesecake wasn't the best the strawberry cheesecake was really good.

We loved Barbarella’s, but found it a smidge pricey. Many different choices and some things made ahead in a case for those in a hurry. Worth the price, just wouldn’t be ideal for everyday/regular.

This juice bar has smoothies, pre-prepared salads, soups and quiche. The prices are quite high, but everything we ate here was spot on. In particular the quiche is the best I've tasted - it sells out by the afternoon so you have to be quick!
