Unfortunate very rude service right as we walked in the door. Food was average.

B. Better could be “better” if the staff was a bit more kind and didn’t view their small vegan spot as a high brow restaurant.

Pros: all vegan

Cons: poor service , small space

Sorry Sir Hite but if you read the other comments about our service you will understand that you were probably the problem that night (or you definitely misinterpreted something). In addition, we invite you to come pay our rent of our "small spot" to see if you would make it bigger yourself ! Finally, we wouldn't propose our very fair prices (considering the area in which our restaurant is located) if we were considering ourselves as a high brow restaurant. And don't forget : "nobody's perfect, be better."

Correct

Cordialement,
L'équipe BBetter

The Food is just amazing

I will begin with the good thing: the USP is the food. Undoubtedly, the food was amazing and outstanding. It was a great place for someone who is vegan or vegetarian. The guy who owns the restaurant was very warm and welcoming and absolutely had a great nature.
The only disappointing person was the lady at the bar counter. I would say she is a mood spoiler, so it's better not to interact with her if you don't want to spoil your mood. I hope she takes this as feedback. It is not just good food that can help you run the restaurant. How you treat your customers also matters.

Pros: Food , The guy owner

Cons: The lady at the bar

Thank you for your feedback and for highlighting your enjoyment of the food and warm service provided by the male owner.

Just a small clarification: the person at the bar is also the co-owner of the restaurant and the wife of the individual you mentioned appreciating.

She's currently six months pregnant and was indeed very tired that Saturday night, especially after a long 9-hour shift.

The only interaction between you two was during payment, when she asked if you’d like to split the bill with the other three women in your group. You replied, “We don’t do that in my country because it isn’t normal,” to which she responded, “It’s not about normality but equality.”

In France, we’re known for our values of equality and freedom, and a more modern view on things.

It appears this difference in perspective might have rubbed you the wrong way, and it’s unfortunate that you felt entitled to judge our approach based on a single interaction.

With a 4.9/5 rating on Google, we’re proud to say our approach works exceptionally well, even without unsolicited advice from perspectives rooted in outdated standards.

Thank you again for your input, though we believe it could benefit from a bit more context.

I am sorry, Bisou. This is half of the information your co-owner gave you, and for your information, my dissatisfaction is not from the response, “It’s not about normality but equality,”.

Your co-owner hasn't told you about the interaction she has had with us before. I asked her in a very kind way, " We are ready to give an order.” She responded rudely and arrogantly, "I am not," and moved out of that area. Which I felt was personally insulting, not just me. The other 3 people felt the same.

There are many ways to say it. For example, I will call someone to take your order, or I will call the right person, or We'll take your order in shortly, etc., etc. I did not want to write this on review sentence to sentence, but it is okay that you made me write.
Even in my country, India, we come from great values, respect, and modern views. Dishing someone for no reason is not the right thing at all (not a cool standard).

As a husband, you failed and made your wife work for a long nine-hour shelf. Again, take this as feedback: you should hire someone instead of making a 6-month-old pregnant lady work.
I hope now you know the real reason, and this clearly shows your outdated behavior by making a 6-month-old pregnant lady work for long hours.

This clearly shows that you want to hear only good things. Be open-minded and have the guts to take real feedback.
