Delicious fruit mochi, but expensive - Edit
Fruit filled mochi. The dough is very thin, but the fruits are very tasty and fresh.
Read moreA bit expensive though, which makes sense considering how expensive fruits are in Japan.

Super good fruit mochi - Edit
After free kiwi-samples, we got the kiwi one (which was massive; 600 yen) and a watermelon one (which was not as big; 500 yen). Both good and refreshing.
Read moreWe recommend the kiwi one for sure!
But they have many more fruit mochi.
They cut the mochi for you on request, which makes it even more convenient to snack.
Just a little food stall on the corner of the street. But they do have a couple chairs out front.
Pros: All vegan, Great snack, Free samples

Cute, traditional Shop with many different Mochi Desserts. A lot of different fruity ones and two with pb & sesame and matcha & sesame. Would recommend everything, also very friendly women who is the owner of the store.

Not sure what to think - Edit
Honestly, not the biggest fan but it might be I just don’t like machI, first time having it. A bit pricey but I liked you could do a bundle to try a couple for 12 USD. Super nice and helpful staff though

Delicious but expensive for what it is - Edit
Got to have a taster of the golden kiwi mochi was good, then decided to get a Japanese orange mochi and black sesame peanut butter one.
Read moreThe peanut butter one was incredible and about a third of the price of the orange mochi, which was also great, but not sure if I could justify the price of more
Pros: Selection, Freshness of the fruit
Cons: Mochi Price

fully vegan / delicious pastries - Edit
They offered a free trial of the mochis so i tried the kiwi one.
Read moreI decided for mango and a few of these other pastries.
I liked the mochi and it was a new experience for me because esp far I only new the frozen icecream mochis. I preferred the other two pastries though as they were super delicious peanut buttery and sesame-ish and were only a third of the price of a mochi.
Pros: Pastries with sesame and peanut butter (i guess), Mango mochi , free sample

Mochi! - Edit
Small shop for take away.
Read moreLarge selection of different mochi varieties. Tastes good, because there was not as much dough on the fruit as is well known but expensive.

Delicious but a little expensive - Edit
Everything is vegan, about 6 mochi flavours to choose from. Really delicious but quite expensive for how small they are. Would have bought more if they were cheaper. Worth a visit

Great mochi store! We had two with strawberry’s which were good and then a peanut butter filled set of 5 and these were the best mochi I’ve eaten so definitely not one to miss!

Must try!!! - Edit
The most delicious thing I ate on my trip to Japan. Big variety of fruits in the softest mochi. Each fruit I tried tasted sweet, ripe and fresh. I recommend trying one of each flavour! Perfect place to stop on the way to the deer park from the station.
Read moreIt may be useful to note the shop is more like a tiny storefront and there is nowhere to sit and eat - buy the mochi and take to eat at home or in the park.

Delicious daifuku! - Edit
I got the kiwi option, which was ripe and refreshing, (especially after not having had much fruit in Japan)! When we visited they were also providing free samples of their apple option, which was also yum. As noted by others though, they're quite expensive, especially compared to others available in the area.
Read moreStaff were friendly and happy to answer our questions. They also included a small piece of string, which can be used to cleanly cut your daifuku so you can view a beautiful cross section!

Fruity vegan snack - Edit
Cute shop without seating at a street-corner. The two ladies serving were super nice. They also handed out little bites to try.

High End Fruit Delicacies - Edit
This is the real deal and it is appropriately priced. Grab a delicious little treat on your back to or back from Nara's UNESCO sites! (recommend going early) These are expensive. I got the persimmon, golden kiwi, and a third I forgot (and haven't enjoyed yet, although you should eat them within a day I believe). The golden kiwi is large and just juicy and delicious. The persimmon was perfect. Great little place if you want to treat yourself or buy a gift for someone!
