I was pretty excited about visiting this place since its opening. Everything looked pretty promising…. However after visiting for the first (and last) time today, I have to say it was a massively underwhelming disappointment. I really hate to write scathing reviews, but £4.50 for a small, STALE “cinnamon” bun is fff ridiculous. It must have been there for few days. And then realising that this place isn’t 100% vegan anymore…. I could almost forgive that, if the cinnamon bun was up to scratch…. But, I have to say, the fella working there was very nice and polite. Save your time and money and give it a miss.

Update: used to be fully vegan, now serves meat and egg buns. I don't recommend visiting this place!
Read moreI really wanted to love these buns but they just tasted like a normal slightly hard cinnamon bun with buttercream on top. For £4.50/£5.50 it made me not enjoy it as much!
It was also really quiet in the cafe (there's a few tables), I know this store is new but maybe it needs some life into it?
I don't usually do bad reviews but I was so hyped to try these, but maybe this was a bad day😒

After starting as a vegan business, they just announced that they will start serving meat, because (and I quote): “we are catering for all customers”. This is so disappointing. Won’t buy from them anymore.

Benji’s Buns - Edit
I’ve had this place on my bookmarks list for a while, and I was really excited to try the cinnamon rolls here today. I was sadly disappointed by the taste and quality of the vanilla roll. It just tasted like cinnamon bread and the frosting was very OK. I was a bit disappointed to squander my “sweet calories” here.

Best vegan cinnamon buns - Edit
These were great. While I wasn’t blown away they were the best cinnamon buns I’ve had since I’ve been vegan. I love the story about Benji who was gravely ill with digestive problems. He started baking vegan cinnamon buns and now has two shops.
