The food is delicious! But they need to work on customer service…. Be warned before you go and try not to take their attitudes personally😄

Golden BGabs! South side og - Edit
A true Chicagoat!!! Ever evolving and changing menu, with staples! Wide variety comfort, made in house, raw/living and junk/fried, smoothies and sea moss , just a longtime real one. Also food activist, community oriented being. Love to them.

Very tasty and satisfying - Edit
Very nice place, it is mostly grab and go but you can still sit inside to eat, no table service. You can see the menu online, whis is wide, I took Korean stir fry cold noodles (it is not possible to have them hot, although it is written on the menu), Jack fruit nuggets, my partner ordered a "chicken" sandwich made with oyster mashrooms. It was all very tasty 😋

Delicious - Edit
I really like bgabs because it’s a scratch kitchen so the food doesn’t feel overly processed, even tho they offer junk food!! There’s also clean healthier options but my favorite are the nachos and the messy mother burger.

Terrible rude service, overpriced mediocre food - Edit
The owner is in the wrong business -- very rude and disinterested in her customers' satisfaction. The food is mediocre and uninspired, and much of it is unhealthy despite its vegan pretensions -- and all over-priced .

Good Food - Edit
Far from the best place I've been to, but I'd go out of my way to have their coffee cake again. The hash browns hit the spot too. Service was kind of slow but it was fairly busy when I was there so that was fine.

Both Clean and Sinful - Edit
I should have won an award for polishing off the ginormous, "Marley's Love," salad in house (Kale, almond, red cabbage, red onion, massaged with sweet and sour dressing)! Looking forward to future short jaunts from NW Indiana for buckwheat pancakes and raw deserts. Ask for recommendations as certain items may be more readily available

Been wanting to come - Edit
This place has been on my list for a couple years but being on the north side I haven’t had a chance. Came here for my husband’s birthday to try something different and we were not disappointed! Love the urban feel of the pace (I love Hyde Park) and the food was amazing.

Huevos rancheros 😋 - Edit
Hubs and I stopped here for the first time for breakfast on our way out of town. I will definitely be going back! I had the huevos rancheros, hubs had the bfast sandwich. Both were good but the rancheros was the winner, the flavor was superb, with probably the best vegan sour cream I have had. I wanted to try all the baked goods but I’ll have to wait until next time.

Superb - Edit
I almost wish I’d never been because I will struggle to not eat everything on the days I work in Hyde Park. I had the huevos rancheros and chocolate smoothie bowl. The flavor on the huevos was spot on not super spicy but flavorful the hash was well seasoned. The smoothie bowl delivered it had blueberries cacao nibs almonds and dates. I will dream about this food tonight. They also had cheesecake and peach cobbler but I was able to not buy everything. Next time I’m not so sure

Best Vegan Brunch - Edit
We had an unbelievable experience here. Each food item we got seemed better than the next! We started out with a piece of coffee cake and then got a juice, the avocado toast the the breakfast burrito bowl and they were all top notch. DELICIOUS. The vibe is very cool. Definitely a homey place and we were excited to support them!

Soooo good! - Edit
Wow. First time here and can’t wait to come back. I had the big a$$ burger. Portobello mushroom, grilled onions, bbq sauce and the impossible burger. My daughter had a Buddha bowl with chickpeas, rice, zucchini and sweets potatoes. I tried the bowl, so much flavor! But by far the most amazing thing I had was the side of potato wedges. OMG these were so good I ordered two sides to go home so the rest of the family could try. Check this place out.

Great Vegan food - Edit
First visit, call in and take out, so the experience was not all that great since i could not stay and eat but the bbq sandwich was awesome to say the least and the oatmeal cream pie never would thought it would taste just as good and the price was great too.

BGabs - Edit
Wow, I'm impressed with B'Gabs. I'm generally skeptical about raw food because it's usually overpriced and just not worth the money. But that simply was not the case at B'Gabs. To start, the location is a bit hard to find, but don't give up, it's there! The owner was super sweet and helped me navigate the menu, and I walked out with many items (for lunch and dinner) for a decent price:
Read more1)Smoothie (banana, pineapple, strawberry) - very good!
2)Garden Flax Crackers - also really good, but don't plan on talking closely with anyone until you brush your teeth!
3)Raw Pizza - this was not my favorite, I didn't care for the pizza crust or the green spread on top, but I did eat the toppings, and they were very good.
4)The Nut Burger - WOW this was AMAZING! If I could eat this a few times a week, I'd be pretty happy. The thing I liked about this burger is that it was mostly veggies, and not grains. The "bread" was very good as well as the patty - they'd be smart to keep this as a regular item on their menu.
5)Kale Salad (came with the burger) - I loved this salad!!!
6)Pesto Tomato Salad (came with the burger) - Fantastic!!!
7)Strawberry Pie - this dessert is good, but it's not my favorite, it's also very heavy (a common trait among raw food items)
Overall, B'Gabs is truly a find. If you like raw food, you should get over there immediately. I actually prefer this place over Karyn's and Cousin's. The food is not as heavy as RAW's food (which is good for me) - I'd say B'Gabs is among the best raw food places in town.
