Great birthday!

We ordered a custom vegan cake and the baker did such a great job. Great selection of filling flavours. What a way to make a special day even better. We also picked up some other vegan treats, great donuts, croissant, and UBO.

Pros: Custom vegan cakes, Vegan donuts, Friendly staff

Cons: The good stuff sells out fast

Wonderful vegan baked goods!

When I walk into a meeting / reception or cafe that has a selection of Bliss baked goods I squeal just a tiny bit inside!

A vast selection of cookies, pastries, doughnuts breads and cakes! There is something literally for everyone.

Most of their offerings are vegan and much of the menu is Gluten Friendly as well.

I’m a particular fan of the vegan cinnamon bun and vegan croissants 🥐

Pros: Lots of Vegan and GF options

They Know Their Food

They are a dairy-free facility.

Lot's of vegan options to choose from, including donuts, pastries, bread, meals, and more.

And they know their stuff. They can instantly tell you whether or not something is vegan, which is nice.

They keep adding more vegan options to their menu.

They are very friendly and never rush you.

It would be great if they would just make all their donuts and bread vegan because they are so darn good that there's no reason not to do that. But, I don't think they will ever do that considering they cook with eggs and make foods with fish. In my experience, you have to be a vegan in order to really make the switch.

Their prices are good.

Excellent vegan bread donuts numerous cupcake flavours

Bliss is a gem! Their Boston Cream donuts are hands down the best vegan donuts in Edmonton. They also have vegan glazed donuts and eclairs. They have a crazy good selection of vegan cupcake flavours and ALL their cupcakes are vegan. They can also make custom birthday cakes. Other vegan items include croissants, muffins, pies, cookies, squares, and pastries, including savoury pastries. All of their bread is also vegan. Their website contains a complete list, but do call ahead as not all products are available every day. Seriously, the best selection of vegan baked goods in Edmonton. Also check their fresh selection of salads, dips, soups and chilli.

Many Vegan Options

Not all of their desserts are vegan, but they do have many vegan donuts and most of their cupcakes and squares are vegan too. I've tried all their donuts are they are pretty good, the chocolate is my favorite. I also tried the vegan no-nut nanaimo bar, which didn't taste normal, two of my friends love it and me and another did not.

baked goods are okay

nothing too special that distinguishes them from other vegan places around the city that offer more options, it’s also kinda pricey for what it is.

"vegan" donuts are fried in the same oil as non vegan products.

I was excited to try this place as it is close to my house however upon querying re their vegan donuts I was told they use the same oil as their non vegan items however "it doesn't matter as we fry them so hot". I'm sorry, but personally this does matter to me, I'll be taking me business to Frickin' Delights!

Cons: not really vegan.

Donuts to Die For

Just came back from Bliss and must say I am in a state of bliss. . . I've tried the cinnamon sugar VEGAN donuts which are just perfect. Not greasy with the perfect amount of sugar and cinnamon; they take me right back to my childhood.

With the exception of the Challah all their breads are vegan too.

Pros: friendly staff, offer lunch items too, lots of free parking

Cons: not all items are vegan, not open on Saturday

Love this bakery!

I discovered this gem a few months ago through a friend. I had never heard of it but my life has definitely changed now that I have!

Not everything is vegan, but the lovely lady or man tending the front area will be more than happy to point out what is or is not vegan. I have had their cream horns, croissant-looking princess pink pastries, some caramel squares, some bread, their butternut squash soup, their fruit tarts and lately their zaatar bread. I highly recommend any of the above, but you MUST TRY THE ZAATAR, they make it every Friday and they recommend you order in advance to ensure you get one as they sell out of it frequently! They also have these sausage-roll looking things but stuffed with mushrooms and potato, they are delicious, and that is coming from someone who doesn't even like mushrooms!

Pros: Quality, Service, Prices

Cons: Run out of stock, Behind a smelly donair shop

Yum

This smaller bakery offers vegan pastries, cookies and croissants (all really delicious) as well as non-vegan baking as well. You can special order vegan cakes as well. They usually have vegan burritos and stir fry for lunch everyday. Note: they say the stir fry is vegan, but it has honey in it.

Pros: Parking, Friendly staff, Delicious baked goods

Cons: Limited variety, Hours

Awesome vegan pastries!

The kind staff at Bliss Baked Goods are more than willing to help you select a vegan treat from their dairy and nut-free selection. My husband picked up a box of treats which included danishes, cookies and some kind of a cream-filled puff pastry. All were really delicious. I think they used real fruit in the danishes.
They also make vegan cupcakes and cakes if you order them in advance.
Their hours of opening are very short which makes it hard for me to get there, but it's worth the effort.

Pros: delicious vegan treats, lots of parking

Cons: short open hours
