We went here for lunch and we would definitely go back for dinner next time we're in Bologna.
Read moreIt's a lovely restaurant located just outside the buzz of the city centre. The outdoor terrace, were we sat, has a lovely vibe. Friendly staff.
Most of all I enjoyed the menu and the food in general. It was difficult to choose what to eat because it all sounded so lovely. And the food was de-li-cious. Made with care. The plates looked beautifull.
I get a bit bored with vegan fast food places but this place shows that you can have an affordable vegan meal that is joyfull and inspiring.
Would recommend!

We had the Gnocchetti and Beyond Burger, with Creme Brule for dessert. All very delicious, no complaints about our food! Menu is very varied, but some things seem quite small for how much they cost. Personally, I think what we ordered was filling and better value for money than some other items. Lots of people were also ordering the Avocado in fiore, so I definitely want to try next time we visit!

This is one of the nicest vegan restaurants I’ve been to. The service was great, some of the portions can be smaller but it depends what you order. We ordered something as an appetizer, 2 “main courses” and then 2 desserts. Everything tasted delicious and the prices are quite good given the ambience and delicious food. Highly recommend it!

We had a lunch at Botanice Lab a few weeks ago, and enjoyed it. Portion sizes were pretty small, I have to say, so we were happy we had ordered extra potatos. I'd say this is not really high-end vegan cuisine, more like upper-middle. But that's actually preferable for me.

Best Restaurant in Bologna - Edit
A local vegan activist said this was her favorite restaurant. I came on an April weekend, off season for tourism, yet the place was packed. I almost didn't get a table because I didn't make a reservation in advance. That's how popular the place is. The food is first rate. Try the potato pastry or the green autumnal triangles. Very unique dishes!

I went to eat at Botanica Lab during a short visit to Bologna with a friend of mine. It is nevereasy to be the only vegan eater on a holiday, but in this case, I was sure the experience would be excellent.
Read moreWe were both impressed by the taste and presentation of the food! Unfortunately, we were in a hurry and only had the homemade Ravioli and Gnocchi, while for dessert, we tried the Mascarponcino (which was incredible and took me back to my childhood) and the Mango
Cheesecake.
When I return to Bologna, I will definitely go back. As a vegan cook, I can't resist trying different restaurants in the surrounding area, but also getting served and enjoying super tasty plant-based food. I also recommend it if you want to impress someone who is a bit sceptical about this type of cuisine.

Consiglio questo ristorante per il menù interessante e la cura nei dettagli. I piatti sono stupendi alla vista e anche buoni - forse leggermente insipidi, ma personalmente preferisco meno sale al troppo salato. Le porzioni sono discrete ma comunque soddisfacenti. Il ristorante in sé è molto bello, l'atmosfera è rilassata ma chic. Personale molto gentile e servizio rapido anche al sabato sera. Consigliata la prenotazione.

Been here for dinner and we have quite high expectations, considering that the restaurant is rated as the best vegan one in Bologna. We had "Red Roll" and "Nuvola" as starters and as main course we took "Gnocchetti di Zucca", "Triangoli Verdi Autunnali" and "Beyond Burger". The chef completely forgot the use of salt in any dish, except for the Beyond Burger all other flavours were completely plain and we had such a delusion food wise. Location and service are ok, prices are fair considering the place is located in the city center. The SALT, please.

I visited this place for dinner. The taste of food is good, but not that far from what I would cook at home. Portions are small. The plating is well done, and I guess that's mostly what you pay for. I have tried more than one dessert and none of them was remarkable.
