Best Veg Meal of My Life - Edit
We came to Austin seeking great vegan food, and we're so glad we found Bouldin Creek Café! We loved it so much we came back again on our final day. The staff was so great with helping us out. We *still* dream about that cornbread! Truly, the greatest breakfast/brunch vegan meal of my life. We have plans to return to Austin just to eat here!

Have not even left the restaurant yet and have to write a review. Wtf. This was amazing. The only tofu scramble we’ve ever had that was better than what we could make at home. Amazing tempeh ribs. Blueberry cornbread [censored] us up. See you tomorrow ;)

Would have rated higher if it wasn't for the wait - Edit
Finally managed to go their for breakfast / brunch. I was lucky that on a Sunday around 10am the place was not too packed. However, with an international phone number, the table placement service didn't really work and after everyone that had arrived after me was seated, I figured that they had forgotten about me but that I could simply sit at the bar where it is first come first served - wish they had told me that when I arrived.
Read moreAnyways, there was plenty of choice on the menu and I had a hard time deciding. Opted for the vegan benedict as that is not something I have seen elsewhere. It was nice - and plenty of food. So much that I couldn't try the blueberry corn bread, which I also really liked the sound of. If I get the chance, I'll definitely be back here.
Edit: Have been back a couple of times and yes, that blueberry cornbread is worth it. Changed rating to five star as now that I know to go straight to the bar to avoid any unnecessary delays.
Pros: Plenty of vegan choices, Atmosphere, Friendly bar staff
Cons: Gets busy - greeter seemed to have forgotten me, Non central location

Perfect brunch spot - Edit
As a lover of tempeh bacon, "tofu bacon" was both intriguing and concerning to me - but I had nothing to worry about as it was absolutely delicious. Salty, chewy, and absolutely perfect. The best BLTA I've had in a good long while. I especially love that just about everything on the menu here is vegan or can be veganized. And, hello, a free refill on coffee? Be still, my caffeinated heart!

Best Vegan Egg Scramble - Edit
BouldinCafe makes hands down the best vegan eggs I’ve ever tried. The sweet potato pecan tamales were amazing (and not too sweet). My husband liked their “award winning” veggie burger better than our hometown favorites. That is saying a LOT!

Awesome vegetarian restaurant! - Edit
Now, as a vegan I can totally appreciate this place! All items are vegetarian at least, and a lot of vegan options! Try to get in for their dinner menu though! Allows you to get some unique dishes that are a good deal and totally delicious! Love their South Austin Stirfry! Sooo good! I highly recommend it if you like a little spice and are vegan!

Amazing - the best tofu scramble in the world - Edit
Great spot for casual food, coffee, and breakfast. The tofu scramble is out of this world — they have the best recipe and seasoning I’ve ever tried anywhere, and it can’t be beat. The Predictable Breakfast, El Tipico, Garden Breakfast, Renedict, etc. all feature this amazing tofu.

best tofu scramble - Edit
This place was delicious. Had probably the best tofu scramble yet. Had a lot of good looking options on the menu. Nice outdoor space to sit as well. When we got there at around noon on a Wednesday, it was really busy and had to wait 15-20 minutes.

A Birthday Treat - Edit
My wife and I went to Bouldin Creek Cafe for her birthday in February for the first time and we were extremely impressed. I got the italian fajitas (which I thought sounded a little weird, mostly interesting) and they ended up completely blowing my mind and expectations away. The sauce that was served on the side was mouth-watering and they were kind enough to get me a take-home side of it that I used on some sandwiches the next day. Will definitely be back!

Bouldin Creek is one of our favorite places in Austin. The food and coffee are great, and we especially enjoy the peanut butter cup and blueberry pie for dessert.
Read moreIt's best to go at non-prime time, because as many have mentioned, this place gets really busy during peak hours. However, the staff are adept at handling crowds while remaining positive, calm, and efficient. Other restaurants could take a page from their book on service!
Pros: Excellent vegan food, Great coffee, Friendly and efficient staff
Cons: Super busy at times, Bathrooms are dark so hard to tell if clean ;)

Food is great and so is the service. I don’t really like how cramped And busy it is in there but that’s Austin for you. I believe you can wait in line using open table.

I was in ATX for a week last month and probably ate at Bouldin 5 times, never had a bad meal. Definitely try The Renedict, I also love the breakfast enchiladas. I can’t wait to come back to Austin just to eat at this hallowed establishment. BEST TOFU SCRAMBLE ON PLANET EARTH 🌎🏆

Delicious Food and Calm Environment - Edit
I’ve never had “real” hollandaise sauce before, so I had nothing to compare it to but WOW! Highly recommend “The Renedict“. I came to this cafe twice, both in the morning. No matter how busy it gets in there, it still remains a calm cafe. The servers are nice and informative. Still dreaming about their Mocha Latte with Oat Milk.

Awesome in Austin! - Edit
Here on a business trip and found this gem for lunch. The Renedict was absolutely delicious, as was the Kombucha of the Day and the warm Blueberry Lavender Pie. Friendly service, tons of vegan options. I’ll be back before I leave for sure!
