The Renedict

Never pass up a visit to this restaurant if you are in Austin. The Renedict (sub tofu for eggs) is the best vegan breakfast ever made. It is the vegan version of eggs benedict but so much better and kinder. They also have an outdoor seating area where dogs are allowed even when covered through the cold spells. Bon appetite!

Pros: Super tasty, Staff is amazing, Dog allowed

Cons: Always a long wait

Can I live there?

This place is amazing. A lot of vegan options, just mention you are vegan (as their menu instruct) and they are more then accommodating. Their soy matcha lattes are perfection! I had the vegan renedict with the smoked tofu, I could eat only that for the rest of my life. We showed up on Labor Day so the place was packed and we had about 40mins wait, but it was all worth it.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Friendly staff, Cool ambiance

Cons: Crowded for brunch

Favourite Cafe in the world

I want to move to Austin just so I can frequent Bouldin Creek Cafe! Honestly I love this place so much and it is so reasonably priced. We were staying in Austin for a week and went here almost every night the cost was never more than $20

I LOVE Bouldin Creek Cafe

It is a vegetarian restaurant, but also has a ton of vegan options. Most things on the menu can be made vegan as well. My particular favorites are: The Wanna BLTA, The Veggie Royale, The Tofu Broccoli Salad and the Good Livin' Salad. They are also open till 11 pm which is awesome if you have any late night cravings. The staff is always super friendly too!

Awesome

I eat here every week. This is the best brunch spot in Austin. Be ready to wait 30-40 minutes during their peak hours. It's well worth the wait. Dog friendly

Pros: So many vegan options

Cons: Not 100% vegan

Breakfast

Lots of options, most of the breakfast things have a choice of eggs or tofu, and they have vegan cheese. I had the Tofu Renedict (vegan eggs benedict). Not the best hollandaise I’ve had, but pretty good. Main thing I wish is that I could get a decent latte anywhere in the US!

Long wait for brunch but worth it

Bouldin Creek is always a safe bet. Brunch here is always great and they have some of the best tofu scramble in town.

I highly recommend trying the The Renedict. If you like eggs Benedict this is amazing.

The wait is usually pretty substantial, but that's only due to this place's popularity.

Pros: Delicious food

Cons: Long wait for brunch

So good

I had the beans rice bowl (can’t remember the name), and although it sounds generic, it was so good! Loved the atmosphere and the staff were so kind. I can’t wait to come back to Austin to try the rest of their menu!

Pros: So many options , Delicious

Cons: Literally nothing

awesome!

I lived the big selection and the care the waitstaff take to account for all preferences. I really liked the Benedict and the hash brown and the peanut butter cup topped with ice cream. Definitely a must-eat in Austin

LOVE their soups

First off.. this place has been around forever and screams old Austin. Bouldin is a place where you go when you want to truly feel the hippy dippy people of the past. Their food is great, customer service is always good and they are always featuring local artist on their walls. They are open from 7am-12am most days and their food taste fresh regardless of the time that you go. My FAVORITE soup from them is their brocc and cheese soup. Vegan, Gluten free and OMG yummy! I hadn't had that soup in over 6 years and when I saw it on the board I had to order it. This soup blew my mind and has me craving it ever since.

Their meals on the whole are around the $8-$9 range, but I believe their breakfast foods are cheaper. Please try this place when in Austin.. whether you eat eggs, tofu, cheese, faux cheese, gluten free, regular (and more).. you will find something here. Oh but they do get very busy on Saturdays (during the day) and Sundays. Maybe call ahead if you're in town for vacation to make sure it's not a long wait :).

Pros: Old Austin Feeling, Vegan and Non-Vegan options, Not too Expensive

Cons: Can get very busy, Extremely Limited Parking, Can get expensive quick with their add on charges

Top place in Austin

Bouldin Creek Cafe is overall a great place to be. It seems like it's even popular among non-vegan and vegetarians. This place never fails to please with their large menu and many gluten free vegan options (for me). My wife and I have brought many family and friends here and they all seem to love it. There is a cool Austin hippie vibe going on that makes us feel like we're in the heart of the city.

I highly recommend the farmer's plate as it is very affordable on a budget and you get a ton of food. The only downside is we usually wait a very long time to get seated, but it's worth it. I also wish they would get a bigger parking lot, but it's not that big of a deal.

Pros: Great place to bring meat eaters, Big menu with lots of options for different diets, Cool vibe

Cons: Usually a long wait, Not all vegan, Parking can be tough

Great Place To Eat

BCC is my go to place for breakfast, lunch, brunch and dinner. I love the location and the menu choices. Specials are always great, as well as the regular menu. Use the No Wait app to get in line before you get to BCC.....it's saved me tons of wait time.

Pros: Specials are fantastic, Outdoor seating, Dog Friendly

Cons: Not 100% vegan, Busy at times

Great food, friendly staff, parking can be an issue. I've never eaten anything I didn't love. I come here whenever I'm near, but almost always have to park in the neighborhood behind the restaurant.
