Disappointing Experiences - Edit
I recently had multiple terrible experiences with Bubbies. I have placed orders to later receive a text stating an item is unavailable, etc, AFTER being able to place an order for the specific item and the payment being deducted from my account. I received multiple orders with concerning health code violations; hair in food, wax paper in between sandwich and plastic shards. The response was they thoroughly checked the food. Clearly that isn't the case based on the photos I took. I simply asked for the order to be remade and that was an issue; the request was not honored. I brought these issues to the attention of management via email and text several times. They were dismissive and shortly after, unresponsive. The phone number provided to contact the restaurant staff directly does not work. I was also told my substitution requests may not be honored even after paying extra for the substitutions.
Read moreTo make matters worse, I was charged for a meal that was never delivered once and again for a meal that was cancelled per the staff after texting me that the items were unavailable. I am still waiting on a refund for the order that was never delivered. Despite multiple attempts to contact the restaurant for a refund, I have been completely ignored. This lack of customer service and blatant disregard for consumer rights is unacceptable.
I strongly advise others to take heed to this review. It's clear that they prioritize profits over customer safety and satisfaction. Very unfortunate as my children and I wanted to support this establishment as we sometimes have enjoyed the food.

I had the Buffalo chicken salad and it’s was very good, the blue cheese was amazing. I would order it again! Fries were good & milkshakes were pretty good, they didn’t have a strong flavor but still enjoyed it.

Read moreBubbie's always has interesting burger choices. (E.g., one time i had a BBQ pineapple, or almond goat cheese with fig). To be honest, they're good but the straight up burger my husband always gets is better. The homemade Beet patty ranks high, I'm not generally tempted to switch out to the impossible they offer, but you have to be okay with the startling blood red color.
This location doesn't have ice cream floats 🥲 (even though it's on the menu)

From my experience, they typically only have one person working in the kitchen, so the food takes around 30 minutes, which isn't so bad if you're at a sit down restaurant, but when your friends are eating from other locations nearby and they get their food much quicker, it can be a disjointed experience.

I sent the owner a message about how there was only 1 employee working, their response was that the coworker had an emergency surgery and they couldn’t find coverage. But hearing your review that it’s typical to only have 1 employee, is not great. I ordered online 20 min before I arrived and my food still wasn’t ready for another 30 min. I didn’t mind waiting but I felt bad for the employee.

Amazing! Bubbies x Meati collab is a must-try - Edit
Highly recommend the Black & Bleu grilled steak sandwich! It was SO good, we came back for more the next day. It’s made with Meati, which is a mycelium based protein currently only available in the US. It was soooo perfect with Bubbies’ cashew bleu cheese. A must-try especially if you are a traveller like us!

Great fast food! - Edit
I just got a chicken sandwich and a vanilla milkshake but it placed pretty high on my list of vegan fast food experiences! Their signature sauce was tasty and they make their own burger patties (can sub for impossible). It’s a takeaway spot next to lots of other takeaway spots so no indoor seating but plenty of comfy outdoor tables and chairs.

Outstanding vegan burgers. Get anything with the bacon!! - Edit
I was pleasantly surprised when I first tried Bubbie's because their burgers are SO MUCH BETTER than those of another local vegan burger restaurant. The biggest pros of Bubbie's are the rich and flavorful sauces, the delicious bacon, and the good variety of options to choose from. My non-vegan partner was amazed by how realistic the fig bacon burger tasted. Their location in Crystal City is also immediately off of the bike trail which is very convenient.

I got the beet burger, which was mushy and not my favorite, and sweet potato fries. I will go back another time and try one of their other dishes. I ordered for pick up and requested utensils and they didn't give me any.

A sweet little shop with amazing food. Got the sweet potato fries, which came with ketchup and a delicious mayo, a classic impossible burger cheeseburger, and a chicken sammy. All were excellent and I’m excited to go back!

The buffalo is delicious and super spicy - Edit
This location just opened and it’s just as great as the original. I ordered the buffalo chicken fries and my mouth is still on fire. There’s an entire piece of fried chicken sliced on top of the fries. The pumpkin milkshake is super creamy and delicious. If you’ve never been to Bubbie’s, please know you’ll either have to order online or at a kiosk at the counter. My only negative is that they didn’t have a lid for the container of very messy fries, so I had to change my plans and eat there instead of taking it home.
