Great place that survived the crises - Edit
It's a great place with delicious vegan options. You can sit inside our outside which is not really an option in early march. The place looks a bit nerdy as it is very popular amidst students. The Birkenstraße area became popular amidst younger folks during the last 10 years. So you have a very mixed clientele here. The owner loves credit card payment; but cash is also welcome. The variety of rolls, snacks and desserts is astonishing. They also serve all sorts of coffee preparations. It's great for breakfast and small dinners. The place has some do-it-yourself charme. Be prepared for it. Booze is also served.

Unique, lovely place with lots of vegan options - Edit
My flatmate has been raving about this place for years and we finally went there for breakfast with a few friends. They don't have any online presence where you can view the menu beforehand, so I was pleasantly surprised that they indeed have a range of vegan options (judging from the signs out front, this is not only the case for breakfast, but also for lunch etc.). I had a tasty vegan salmon and cream cheese bagel, they also had other toppings available and other vegan options such as granola, soy yoghurt etc. What I liked most about the place is that the owner (who knew my flatmate already) immediately treated all of us like family (and also that the whole place has an unapologetically queer vibe, with hilarious names for some of the menu items such as 'The cousin who thinks he's straight'). Sure, the vibe is a little chaotic, but I think the friendly and warm welcome we received made up for any waiting times or items arriving a little later. Also, because it was my flatmate's birthday, the owner immediately announced we would get a free raspberry punch. Which I assumed would be one free punch for the birthday girl, but he brought us a pitcher for the whole table! I will definitely be coming here!

I was to lazy to made my own breakfast, so I walked over and asked for a vegan option, I received a big plate with a bunch of different fresh creams, a lot of falafel, vegetables and fresh fruits, they also serve the coffee with vegan options.
