Expanded vegan menu BUT poor service - Edit
Update: There's a new waitress who is simply awful which ruins the whole dining experience. What a pity, especially since I love that they really are working hard to cater to vegans, huge serving too. They even make a vegan version of vol au vent which is quite rare. And the fact that they are located ON the main square in Leuven gives them bonus points if you're out café hopping but dont want to go leave the café scene to eat something. Very fair prices, considering the portions!

One nice vegan dish - Edit
This review is from a visit in the Fall of 2017, and it was on the first day that Cafe Manger started serving a vegan dish (it was a coicidence that we were in Louvain that day).
Read moreThe vegetables and sauce were nice, but all in all it could use some spicing. Culinairy not really very exciting, and at 17€, a bit steep.
But everything was freshly prepared, and it is nice to have another place in Louvain that serves a vegan option!
NOTE: meanwhile, the menu has changed (vegan dish is now vol au vent with fries at 14€)
Pros: knowledgeable about vegan, large terrace, central location
Cons: just one option, not accessible

Fijn klassiek Belgisch café, wij gingen met een kleine groep speciaal naar daar voor de vegan vol au vent. Het eten was lekker, de porties groot, de bediening super vriendelijk en goed geïnformeerd over veganisme. Er staan standaard maar 2 vegan gerechten op de kaart als ik me het goed herinner, maar er waren nog andere opties die geveganised konden worden. Wij gaan zeker nog terug!
