Unprofessional - Edit
Sadly, her cakes are delicious, but her service could use some work. I was a huge fan of hers, went to several pop ups, bought several cakes for different events, and chose her for our baby shower. She was not the best at communication, so I kept having to reach out when she wouldn’t respond to my best friend who was hosting the shower. We arranged the flavors and colors months in advance, but when it was time to pick up the flavors and colors were not correct. The quality of the cupcakes were dry and nothing like I’ve had before from her. I felt bad for even having to let her know there was a problem, but when I did she was kind of short and sent a refund. We sent the money back to her since she’s a small business and she did do some work, and mistakes happen, but she just went ghost after letting her know we sent the payment back. I’ve tried to get in touch with her since the shower because the whole situation was strange, and she has still ignored any future business. As someone who also runs a small home bakery, I just can’t imagine doing business this way. If I make a mistake, I don’t take it out on the customer. If a customer is rude, that’s understandable to want to cut ties, but I was not rude. Other friends of mine have also have issues with her in regards to communication. Hopefully she will get better in the future.

GORGEOUS vegan cakes - Edit
SO THRILLED to have found a vegan cake artist in Dayton!! Natalie made me a triple-layer vegan almond sponge with almond buttercream frosting, decorated with a chocolate ganache drip, rainbow sprinkles and edible flowers for a kid’s birthday cake. It was delicious!! The cake was moist and soft, with a great flavor. The kids and our entire family devoured it!

You MUST check out @cakestardayton on Instagram if you need a vegan custom cake in the Dayton area! Her creations are gorgeous works of art, in flavors like tiramisu, earl grey, coconut cardamom, raspberry lemon cheesecake, fig pistachio, red velvet and more.
