In an area where ‘enlightened’ food options are very limited CG stand out with some very flavorful dishes. There are a couple options for vegan or veg folks.

Not really veg friendly - Edit
To be fair we didn't eat there. But that's because there was really only the hummus plate that was vegan and my husband doesn't eat hummus. The pasta primavera was in chicken broth! Huh? They have an excellent reputation with locals and it's possible the menu varies to include more options. But after 6 days of cycling across NC where it was very veg-unfriendly I'd been really looking forward to this place. We were very disappointed.
