Love Chay Mart! I personally prefer it to the fancier vegan grocery store around the corner. The ready made meals are great value. We tried mock chunks in a sweet, tangy sauce with lime leaves and sticky rice and beans steamed in banana leaf. One of my weaknesses is instant noodles and they have one of the most impressive selections of vegan flavours I've ever seen. Same with their frozen section! Also bought some vegan cheese from them, because their prices beat almost anywhere else!

Great range of Asian vegan foods. Particularly lots of mock meats. Lots of popular vegan items for sale here for way cheaper than I usually seem them too. Only grabbed a couple of items but could buy out the whole store. Incredible shop.

All the hard to find vegan groceries in one place! - Edit
I was so excited to visit this shop and to find that they have all my favourites in one place. The owner is lovely and the prices are very reasonable. Huge variety of mock meats plus hard to find stuff like vegan kewpie, liquid smoke, soy custard, cream, Future Farm tuna etc and all the Lamyong and Sayur range (do yourself a favour and try the Sayur Duck). I will definitely making this place a part of my weekly shop from now on. They also have some ready-made food, sweet & savoury, including Mango cream pancakes that are divine!

Love this supermarket so good to see. They have some brands no one else has and I love how you can buy faux meat by weight. I can’t wait to try the ready meals they make!

Incredible range and good prices - Edit
I have been here a few times now, the majority of the store is vegan (I believe it is all vegetarian) and the pricetags clearly mark which options are vegan without having to think. I love not thinking. The range of pre-made meals are surprisingly nice for the price

Welcome new vegetarian grocer - Edit
This is an excellent addition to Newtown's veggie offerings. Very handy for Newtown train station (over the road, beside Golden Lotus Vietnamese vegan restaurant). A huge selection of packaged (mostly Asian) groceries, including chilled and frozen, with some ready-to-eat meals. The owner is friendly and helpful, and the prices are good. Vegans should note that some items are vegetarian rather than vegan. Highly recommended.

Wish all was vegan but also some vegetarian labels
Everything clearly marked
Very neat and super friendly owner
They do have some tastings on some weekends which are announced on insta
