It’s tasty and the quality is amazing, compared to all the new hipster vegan restaurants it’s also very affordable. I always enjoy to eat there. Even went there regularly before I went vegan.

Best crispy duck without harming ducks - Edit
We had a late dinner at Chay Umi. They have so much to choose from. We had a few different dishes, but the crispy duck was the overall favourite. I would certainly eat here again if I’m ever back in Berlin. Also they have nice selection of cocktails

Once I ordered one of the mixed starter dish and it wasn't worth it though so I wouldn't recommend it.
Prices have gone up by most dishes and drinks from 1€ up to 3€.

We tried the summer rolls with Seitan, the vegan chicken in peanut sauce and the sesame tofu. Everything was tasty, only the tofu was a bit boring for my taste. But the vegetables in the Hoisinsauce were excellent. We would come back and try different dishes as well.

Read moreWe started with the V1 starter which was perfect to share between three people as most things on the plate was three each. Super yummy and big for a starter, could also work as a main course if you're looking to try different things.
As a main dish I had a very nice rice noodle dish with seitan and my friends had the vegan "duck" and the burger. Everyone was very pleased with the place and the service was also fast. The best thing though was definitely the drinks - they were tasty, big and fresh!
