Best place ever - Edit
I’ve been here many times now, ordered all kinds of menu items. This is literally the best place I’ve ever been, and the prices are extremely reasonable, big portions.

Super good and comforting food - Edit
The food was so good that I came back the day after I discovered this place. I've had the chance to taste a few dishes :
Read more• Boneless ribs (11,50$). Well cooked, crispy and soft at the same time. The sauce was great and it's serve with broccoli (as many dishes are at Chun's).
• Mango soy protein (12$). Amazing mix of sweet and salty flavours with big pieces of mango.
• Crispy nuggets (7,50$). Suuuuper good, probably the best vegan nuggets I've had in my life.
I also tried the orange tangerine chicken (11,50$) which I loved, and the beef Teriyaki (11,50$) which was not really to my taste, too soft and too much sauce. We ordered brown rice to go with the mains. The servings are enormous!!
It's a great place, very clean and bright. There are only two (big) tables though, so you might want to order some takeout rather than eating there.
Pros: Tasty and affordable food, Vegetables !!, Bigggg servings
Cons: Only two tables

good and reliable - Edit
take-out/delivery travels well in my experience! love the sesame tofu, spinach and garlic, smoothies, and milkshakes. i get why the fried mushrooms are so popular but if you don’t love breaded/fried food you can skip em and enjoy something else.

Good mock meets, solid food - Edit
The food, especially the mock meats, was good and they had tons of options.
Read moreYou order your food at the counter and sadly everything you order comes in a to-go box, even if you dine in house .
All in all a good experience

My Go-To - Edit
I am in love with this place. I have loved everything I have tried. My favorite is the orange tangerine tofu. I also love the vegan goddess noodles and the pad thai. The one item on the menu that’s not vegan is the lo mein, BUT they said they are looking for a vegan lo mein noodle so everything will be vegan.
Read morePros: 99% vegan, Decently priced, SO many good options
Cons: Lo mein isn’t vegan

Love the variety here and have ordered from pretty far off because of it. The chef’s special vegetables are so good: just enough spice. They have cake and milkshakes!

Indecisive... - Edit
I was pretty indecisive on what to score this restaurant. I went with a 4/5....I give their combo fried rice a 5/5. I blogged on HappyCow about my "Oakland Chinatown standard" I have with fried rice. Chun @ Bed-Stuy BK hit the benchmarks: slight charred flavor from the wok; hint of sesame oil; perfect balance of soy sauce. 😚👌🏾 BUT.... their General Tso's chikn? A HARD 3/5. I know most vegan/vegetarian Chinese jointz use soy products for mock meat, usually results to spongy texture. But man, Chun's chikn? It was like rubber bro. Lol Maybe the linecook that night over cooked it but man, it was chewy like bubbleyum gum (classic) you've been chewing on for 20 mins, IYKYK. Lol Would of gave it a 2/5 but the flavor saved it from disaster. It was tasty. So I averaged the 3 & 5 score, gave it a 4. Lol But don't let my review over General Tso fend you off. Again, their fried rice was "HITTIN"! Lol And I'm sure they have plentiful options. But be mindful of the General. Lol

Awesome Vegan Chinese food! - Edit
Have been meaning to try Chun for a while and so glad I finally did! Definitely on the healthier side for Chinese takeout, in a good way! I mean, don't get me wrong, it's still indulgent food, but it was not too oily/greasy like many takeout spots can be. Everything was perfectly cooked and with amazing flavors!
Read moreWe got the BBQ ribs, General Tso's "chicken," sesame pancake, and mock dock appetizer. All were great but the ribs were especially stellar. The smokiness was on point and the texture was perfect. The General Tso's chicken was kind of a chewy texture, so that was my only complaint, but my bf liked the texture so guess it's preference. Will definitely be coming back to try more of the menu.
Oh and you can easily order online through their online system, for delivery or takeout. Definitely recommend going through their own site since delivery apps like Grubhub and Door Dash take such a big cut and restaurants are already struggling.

Yummmmy! - Edit
Asian food has always been near and dear to me, visiting from Toronto, Ontario I had high expectations as we have plenty of options for quality vegan Asian cuisine. We were not disappointed!
Read moreI had their Beef teriyaki, the seitan was melt in your mouth delish, lots of veg and the teriyaki was silky smooth! I had a side of vegetable brown rice which was delish but I needed to add a bit of soy sauce - I love salty though. Along side the spring rolls which were bigger than expected, nice and peppery like I love them and plenty of sweet and sour to dip. My girlfriend had their vegetable lo mien, the noodles were perfectly cooked and the vegetables were well seasoned - great comfort food.
Will return if back in town.
Pros: Completely vegan - don’t mind the name, Fast, Big portions
Cons: Nada

Great addition to the neighborhood - Edit
I order from here about once a week. The food—classic vegan pan-Asian fare—is very tasty, the place is clean and inviting, and the staff is friendly. I love the Sesame "chicken," sautéed veggies with tofu, "chicken" nuggets, and so much more. So glad they're in the neighborhood.
