Great vegan meal - Edit
We got into Firenze mid afternoon and decided to try Ciro & sons. It was great with plenty of vegan options, appetizers, pasta and pizza. Vegan mozzarella to substitute. Would eat here again

Highly recommend! - Edit
The menu has vegetarian options labeled with a green “V” symbol but a lot of dishes can be made vegan, just have to ask the server. My family ordered an appetizer with traditional mozzarella and our server made sure to get me a few pieces of vegan fried mozzarella on the side! I had fettuccine with pesto and their vegan dessert which was an elderberry tart (forgot to take a picture of that one). It’s a pretty busy place so sometimes we were waiting a while for the food but the staff was very nice and the food/drinks were delicious.

Best Vegan Mozzarella - Edit
Ordered the Margherita with vegan mozzarella. Service was extremely friendly and the meal was the best I’d had in Florence. Delicious pizza, exactly what I was wanting.

Cozy - Edit
It was a nice place with good service and some vegan options. I did however not see any exclusively vegan meals and when I asked if they had vegan cheese for the gnocchi they said no.
Read moreI took gnocchi in tomato sauce without cheese, and it was good!
There was also a vegan dessert that I did not try.
Overall cozy place with good service, quite expensive.
Pros: Location , Service
Cons: Not that many vegan options, Expensive

Efficient but Not Cozy - Edit
The pizza was okay, and they offered vegan mozzarella for an additional €1.50. However, the ambiance was loud comparable to a train station hall. Despite having around 20-30 tables, there were approximately 10 waiters constantly moving around, talking among themselves, creating a rather chaotic atmosphere. On the positive side, the service was speedy. Overall, it's not a cozy place - more suited for a quick meal.

Tourist trap with limited options - Edit
The place has all the hallmarks of a tourist trap and it is. We didn’t bother walking too far from the center of Florence as we arrived late and tired, so we settled for this place as the pizzas looked fine on the pictures online and they make quite a fuss about their vegan/vegetarian/etc. options.
Read moreThe service was rude for as long as we spoke in English and their mood changed only once we switched to Italian.
Despite the signs that might suggest otherwise, vegan options are actually quite sparse on the menu (one starter, one or two pasta dishes, pizza). For starters we went with the veganized version of their “King of Neapolitan street food platter”. It’s very bland, ready made, fried junk food on a platter. It’s utterly pointless, except for the two small arancini balls (which are still far from the original of course). We then went for the gnocchi with tomato sauce and vegan cheese. The gnocchi were average at best, the sauce not seasoned at all and the vegan cheese tasteless. Last but not least we tried their pizza. Unfortunately, despite the good dough and tasty ingredients on top, the result was disappointing as it was utterly and completely drenched in olive oil.
The restaurant is a tourist trap like most restaurants in the area. No locals would ever eat there. If you can’t bother looking for something better a bit further, we recommend sticking with the pizza and asking for it without any extra oil.
Pros: Pizza is good (but ask for no oil), Nice decor
Cons: Standard tourist trap , Very limited vegan options, Unfriendly service

Amazing!! - Edit
Everyone here was lovely and so kind I came to this restaurant with my family it was only a 10 minute walk from our hotel and I loved that it had not just options but amazing vegan food for myself while accommodating my family. I had a vegan version of their pesto pasta and they brought me vegan bread and marked everything with a sticker, which was super refreshing and helpful. Highly recommend

Great pick close to city centre - Edit
Starters were extremely good (we had the mixed fried bites and the artichoke pie with vegetables) and mains were pretty good, the only complaint is that they don't truly "veganise" the pizza you choose, they just remove the non-vegan toppings and then add vegan mozzarella.

Delish food and plenty of vegan options. Staff are really helpful, pointing out all the menu items that can be veganised. They have a tasty vegan mozzarella that can be added to anything at no extra cost.

Absolutely delicious! - Edit
This place knows their allergens! All of their menu can be made ‘gluten free and lactose free’ (not sure if both at once though), and boy do they do a good job at the dairy free.
Read moreI had bruschetta to start which is naturally vegan, and was nothing to write home about but was still tasty. The pesto pasta was a show stopper though. Pesto pasta is something I eat regularly but this might have been the best one I’ve ever had. They told me they don’t make this with dairy anyway! I just had to confirm there was no egg in the pasta (as there is a note in the menu saying all their pasta is fresh).
The vegan dessert - a slice of pie - could have been a little bigger and served with cream, but it was still pretty good.
The restaurant was full the whole time we were there and a little tight. The food isn’t the quickest to come out but we enjoyed our meal.
Pros: Good at giving alternatives, They have vegan cheese! , Fair price
Cons: Very cosy - too cosy

Perfecto - Edit
I eat a gnocchi and the card showed it was vegetarian. I asked if they could make it vegan and it was no problem. I got a plate with a little sticker on the side that said vegan. I had the best gnocchi I ever eat. Bravo.

Good food and helpful staff - Edit
Great restaurant with a large number of vegan options. They also substitute cheeses for pizza and other dishes. Be mindful that only vegetarian items are marked on the menu. Make sure you tell staff you're vegan and they are super helpful and accommodating and have a great knowledge of the menu. Food I had was great.

We had the vegan eggplant pizza & bruschetta. The service was very friendly, they had a great atmosphere and the food was really good. I have a nut allergy & am always nervous ordering vegan cheese and our waiter was super nice and helpful with ordering & making sure I was good to go! I also had a lemoncello spritz which was delicious.

Delicious pizza - Edit
What a find! Delicious vegan pizza. Super friendly service. When we told the wait staff that we were after a vegan pizza, they basically said we can create our own, select toppings etc. The vegan mozzarella was amazing, very cheesy; melted well. The only criticism would be the amount of arugula on the pizza…was perfect otherwise! So thin and cheesy. I like that it didn’t have a thick crust or base. Gluten free option available also!

Incredible - Edit
Amazing to find in downtown Florence a restaurant that gets and respects gluten free an vegan diets. And not just that - but delivers amazing tastes. we had the artichoke pie and 2 of their upscale pizzas and though it's a long time since I had regular pizza I can say this is perhaps the best pizza I ever had! Not even fair to compare with other gluten free and vegan pizzas I had because those don't come even close to this...
