Local personal restaurant - Edit
The place is not the regular touristic restaurant, but a small family owned restaurant with personal care. The owner is very generous, and was very welcoming the food however, for a vegan was not the best apart from the salads which were amazing.

Menu of the day had a couple of vegan options for each course. The lentil stew was delicious. Attentive service. Just what we needed.

Great menu of the day! - Edit
Nice intimate space with tasty, nonpretentious food. I had the broccoli soup and the stuffed red pepper. The soup was good but the pepper was phenomenal. The torrija was a nice dessert and finish to the meal. Excellent value for the price.

Buena calidad, cantidad escasa - Edit
Trato cordial, la comida estaba buena pero no justifica la escasa cantidad para el precio.

Excellent for Vegan / Vegetarian / + gluten free / Soo tasty - Edit
I live in Madrid for +20 years, this is one of the best Vegan restaurants in Madrid:
Read more1) Everything is Gluten free. Other places dont have options or charge 2-3€ extra per dish
2) Cool dishes: vegan ramen, truffle pizza, vegan cakes and muffins, icecream, avocado toast, passionfruit matcha cake
3) Place is huge. Most vegans are small, crowded.
4) Prices are very reasonable, everything is home made, fresh and healthy (other vegans are more "fatt-vegans" that dont make health a priority and cook with loads of fried/oily, refined, processed food)
5) They have options for everybody. Yes they offer eggs and fish in some dishes, but hey, you can bring here any non-vegan friend and they will love it
6) 4 types of home-made kombucha, once you get one kombucha you can refill
7) Brunch is cool
Pros: Tasty healthy home-made & fresh, Everything is Gluten free , Place is huge and quiet
Cons: location in North of Madrid, far from Center, hope they'll open Teresa Carles restaurant also

Hello. I'm sorry this is not the right restaurant. It's too big and doesn't look at all like the photos above. Additionally, the restaurant in this post isn't gluten-free and doesn't serve brunch. Also, I didn't see any kombucha when I was there yesterday.

Delicious - Edit
I walked around Madrid looking at vegetarian restaurant menus for something I could eat as I am allergic to yeast. I found this gem of a restaurant in a lovely area with tables outside. The staff could not have been more helpful, explaining all items on the menu for me in English and helping me to find the items that I could eat. I chose the lasagne, which was one of the nicest meals I have ever had!

Simple food done well and reasonably priced - Edit
Not the most obvious place from outside (we walked past it), but worth finding out for lunch or a light meal when in Madrid.
Read moreFor the very reasonable price of €11 you get three courses, bread and a drink. The host was very welcoming and had reasonable English. There was a limited choice (the menu changed daily) and nothing to indicate what was vegan when we visited, but it was happily pointed out what was suitable or could be made suitable when I asked. I had a simple Miso tofu soup followed by a delicious filo pastry filled with curried vegetables (rather like a big samsosa). My partner who is veggie had a fresh green salad with tomatoes then spaghetti with sun-dried tomatoes and veggie parmesan. Choice of drink included soft drinks, beer or wine.
Sadly the desserts weren't vegan on our visit and I had to make do with some fresh fruit. This would have been good if it had been a mix but I was given the choice of one from two or three different fruits and ended up with some banana chopped up in a bowl...
Overall a relaxed and enjoyable meal in a non touristy taverna and very good value.
Pros: Great value, Nice, simple food, Quiet location
Cons: Limited choice, No vegan dessert

Central location, reasonable choice for vegans - Edit
Stumbled upon this gem while wondering in Madrid's centre. Had to wait for 15-20min for a table to free up. Very cordial stuff, several vegan choices on the menu (clearly marked), just one vegan dessert though. Great overall experience, five stars!

Super place - Edit
Found this by accident whilst exploring the lanes around the Opera House and went back later to eat.
Read moreIts small, about 20 covers I'd guess, nicely decorated and presented in a rusticly finished room which give a nice ambience.
We found the staff helpful - the chef came to explain the recipes - and the food was absolutely delicious. The menu is short, which I like in a small restaurant as it indicates the food is freshly prepared, na d the choice is interesting.
Good choice of wines and beers, and herb teas as well as good coffee.
Overall highly recommended. Not cheap, but excellent value.
Pros: Good for vegans, Interesting menu
Cons: Small - might need to book

Rude staff, great food - Edit
As a mixed group of a vegan, vegetarian and omnivore, we were looking for something that would cater to all of our tastes. The restaurant is completely vegetarian with a rather small menu of only about six starters and six mains, about half of which were vegan. There was a huge selection of teas, wines and beers. The staff were extremely rude, as well as which we had to wait to be served when the restaurant was practically empty, but the food arrived quickly. We ordered the guacamole, pita bread with tomato hummus, and gyoza stuffed with tofu with a citrus, sesame and soy sauce, with decent portion sizes. The food was absolutely lovely and nicely-presented. The restaurant filed out later in the evening without being completely full or overly-packed. The deserts were absolutely amazing. We ordered the chocolate tart and apple strudel with soya cream (the only vegan desert despite there being sesame ice cream on the menu). Prices were middling and quite reasonable for the great quality of the food.
