Lots of vegan options - Edit
There are a ton of vegan options here. Like I was in heaven.
Read moreI got the cheese steak sandwich special and honestly it might be the best vegan sandwich I’ve had in a long ass time.
The meat was seitan, there were sautéed peppers and onions and the cheese was PERFECTLY melted. All served in a sub roll.
I can’t wait to go back and try more the next few days that I’m in town
Would give them a 5star but it’ll only let me give 4 since it’s not fully vegan

Very crowed but ok - Edit
From the looks of this place “don’t judge a book by its cover”. It don’t look pleasant from the outside it is really cool on the inside. Although, it was very crowded inside I can say the food was good. They have a pretty big selection of vegan options but unfortunately my visit they were out of a lot of things.
Read moreThey have a huge selection of drinks and two coolers full of organic as vegan options.
Y’all they had vegan beef jerky. And was told it’s really good made from lions mane mushrooms. also it was $5-6 for a bite size package.
What I don’t like is that you can bring your pets inside the store. I am not a animal lover but don’t have anything against animals either. I just don’t think that’s very sanitary.
It took about 45 minutes for my food to get done. I ordered a bowl (can’t remember the name) but it had egg, spinach, potatoes, cheese, and some kind of sauce on it. But it was really good.
One thing I didn’t like is that it was definitely placed in the microwave. You know when you heat cheese up in the microwave and it’s burned and taste like plastic. I probably wouldn’t visit again.
Pros: Large selection of organic drinks, Friendly staff
Cons: Crowed , Animals are welcomed inside, Food was placed in microwave

Best sandwiches - Edit
I’m a die hard fan of their sandwiches. The vegan Reuben isn’t on the menu, I ordered it because of someone’s suggestion on here, but it’s so freaking delicious. And try the vegan breakfast burritos. I always crave their sandwiches.

Bless CM and their vegan cupcakes. 👏🍰😜🍰😍
Read moreUpdate: I love CM. Their breakfast options are bomb. The Oakwold location almost always has a vegan option for their sandwich of the day. There’s lots of quick, fresh, and good food to be had here. And beer. Lots of beer. They get bonus points for vegan candy bars, cookies, chips, and other goodies sprinkled throughout the store.
Pros: lots of good vegan options
Cons: wish food was served later

i’ve lived in charlotte for 9 years now & somehow only recently discovered this place. i’m definitely sad because that’s a lot of missed time eating delicious vegan breakfast sandwiches, but you best believe i’m there all the time now 😋 they’re very accommodating and can make most of the menu items vegan!

Vegan Chicken Salad - Edit
I was driving through Charlotte and ordered the Vegan Chicken Salad Sandwich on Sour Dough from their online ordering and hour out. Having the option to pay online I walked in and was able to grab my sandwich, use the bathroom, and hit the road again. Their vegan chicken salad is great. Looking forward to trying other options at a later date. They also have many vegan treats and fake meats available in their refrigerator section in the deli.

Iconic Plaza Midwood Joint - Edit
I haven't been there in quite a while, but I used to get the vegan breakfast bowl from the deli. It was always good and also fun because it was always different. Sometimes there'd be grits in it, or soysage, or spinach or potatoes... just always a different melange of ingredients! Covered in Daiya vegan cheese.

Da bomb. - Edit
This is a classic Charlotte vegan-friendly establishment. Order the straight jacket soy with vegan thousand island and sriracha. It has been our order for the past few years and it is amazing every time. They pretty much always have a vegan soup available and several other vegan sandwich options. One of the most vegan-aware places in Charlotte for a long time.

A Charlotte Staple - Edit
This little, cute, off the beaten path establishment is an incredibly sentimental spot for me.

The veggie wrap & tree hugger are to die for! The staff in the deli are always knowledgeable and accommodating. Even in the market you will always find a friendly face at the register.

C'mon, it's The Common Market! - Edit
I'm not sure why there aren't 100 reviews of this place. I think the locals don't want to share. The Common Market is an awesome kinda dive-y sandwich shop / bar / convenience store / music venue / cultural center that does nothing by the book. Eclectic, diverse, anyone? The best vegan breakfast item is the Vegan Dawn. It's not on the menu. It doesn't matter. Just ask for it - or whatever you want. Vegan Reuben -- it's not even on the menu, you just need to ask. For vegetarians, the Common Market won an award for best pimento cheese sandwich in town. The Fancy Pants -- not even on the menu. Order one anyway. They make the vegan 1000 Island for you from scratch when you order. Can't decide? Ask for something vegan and it's guaranteed to be good. The place has been around much longer than I've been in town, and is likely to be a great meeting spot for some time to come.
