Crazy creative menu!

Almost every item is vegan or can be made vegan. Every dish is very original, one-of-kind, beautifully presented and flavorful.

All vegetarian and vegan

Almost entire menu can be made vegan easily and clearly noted. Very thoughtful dishes with amazing flavor. It’s pricey, but true gourmet.

Very pricey, but delicious

Comune is very pricey and many dishes are small, but it's a beautiful restaurant with a beautiful patio. It's a great place for a special occasion, and during the summer, they have special events like BBQ on the patio. They also have a great vegan friendly drink selection.

One of the best places on earth

I’ve been there 4 times now. It’s always been absolutely fabulous. The food is outstanding every time. If you can order something with mushrooms in it (even if you don’t think you like mushrooms) do it. The way they cook their mushrooms are so flavorful and delicious. I’m obsessed. The appetizers are great, the bread and spread is my go to because that house made pita is divine. Staff has always been extremely helpful and friendly. They change their menu seasonally, so I try to go at least one per seasons to try the new menu. It’s also nice they have vegan dessert because many fancy places that aren’t exclusively vegan don’t. They have a large alcohol selection, and I don’t drink alcohol, but Ive always enjoyed their non-alcoholic beverages.

Comune Never Disappoints

Comune never disappoints. This is one of those places that really shows you how good food can actually taste.

They mix ingredients and flavors of things you never heard of before into plates that are elevated to an experience.

This is more of an upscale / hipster fancy place with unique flavors. No Mac and cheez, tofu scramble, or impossible burgers here.

You really can't go wrong ordering. No matter what it is, it's going to be amazing. Even if it sounds lame or weird on the menu, don't doubt that it'll be some of the best food you've eaten.

Pros: Seasonal menus

Cute little spot

I was in the area and decided to try this spot out. First off the food was fantastic! I googled them before I went. They are advertised as an upscale restaurant. The pricing was okay $100 for 2 of us to eat. The place is super cute, however you sit so close to everyone. I could hear everyone's conversation, which made the place loud in my opinion.

Pros: Food, Location

Classy and hip

I loved the mocktails and the light and clean interior. The food was delicious. We got bread and spread, peach and cucumber salad, a mushroom medley with couscous and an eggplant dish. Everything was delicious. Vegan desert was limited to 1 item, peach sorbet, which was very good, but I would have liked to try a vegan blueberry baklava, but sadly theirs is made with honey.

Pros: Peach cucumber salad , Mushroom medley on couscous , Peach sorbet

Cons: Not completely vegan

Madly Improved

This place has gotten so much better over the years it’s been open. Still feels a little expensive for what it is, but it’s just so good — best place to get yourself a fancy vegan dinner in Columbus.

Pros: High quality

Cons: Expensive

Best Upscale Veg Restaurant in Town

This is a perfect date night. Really cool cocktails and every single dish is delightfully created. Their bread & spread (muhammara and baba are FANTASTIC - order extra bread) is a menu staple and won’t disappoint! Their menu is seasonal, so you may not see the same items from visit to visit, but I can assure you that everything is excellent. They pay close attention to layering their dishes with textures and flavors, so you’ll love it if you’re extra attentive to those things. I’m not usually a “salad person” but the Comune Salad is the best salad I’ve ever had and I dream about it. Their pasta dishes are always great, the crispy rice is a fan favorite, and most of their dishes can be made vegan!

Make sure you set reservations! Can usually book under a week out, or you might be able to sit at the bar/wait for a table if you’re patient!

You can eat here without it being expensive, but if you get multiple appetizers and drinks and separate entrees, you’ll be in the $100 range for two. You can also go for just a couple of appetizers and head next store to hang out at the brewery and have their food truck for dinner. Pay a visit to Parson’s North Brewing regardless - the best outdoor brewery space in Columbus - and excellent beer! They make their own root beer and have it on tap. You’re missing out.

Pros: Thoughtful menu, Romantic, cozy atmosphere, Next to a fantastic brewery (Parson’s North)

Cons: Parking (park on the street opposite them), Pricier

Must eat here!!!

1st time here and I was absolutely blown away! Great service. Super friendly staff. Very busy … I would recommend making reservations. They have bar seats for single eaters or people without reservations.

I started with the bread and spread that comes with three sauces. I choose babganoush, muhammara, and double olive oil. The bread was amazing by itself. The sauces elevated the meal. Each one unique and wonderful. I think unemployed the double olive oil the most.

I moved into the two sweet potato tostadas. Excellent.

Then the tempura cauliflower. Mouth watering.

I wanted to try everything on the menu and I can not wait to come back.

Pros: Excellent food, Amazing staff

Perfection

The atmosphere, the food, the wait staff and cooks were perfect. I’m very picky when it comes to food. Went here for a birthday dinner, my tastebuds and sensory system had a fabulous time. Seasonal menu, the food had a multitude of flavors but not overwhelming. Looking forward to another visit soon.
Also the WC was lit up with a red light and bird sounds. It was like being in another world.

Fancy, yet affordable, vegan eats.

While not everything on their menu is vegan, just about everything can be made vegan without sacrificing what the chef envisioned. The atmosphere is clean and cool, the service is kind and accommodating, and the drinks are fun and tasty. I love that their menu is small, which guarantees specialty and care, but also rotating, which allows for repeat visits and something new all the time. This is our new date spot, and perfect for business dinners!

It's OK

The food is decent - not really easy to understand what you're ordering by reading the menu. The ambiance is lovely and dining outside on a sunny day makes it worth the visit. Definitely a higher price point and small portions. I did enjoy the spaghetti squash.

Fancy Veg

Comune is a great place to go if you're looking for a fancy date spot, celebration dinner location, or just somewhere to throw down extra money for a next level dining experience.
Comune's space is light, airy and sun-filled during the day, but transforms into a dark, candle lit space in the evening.
The menu is all vegetarian, but there are plenty of vegan options. There's also a wide range of drinks for anyone's taste.
If you're going on a high traffic night, like Valentine's Day, be sure to make a reservation.
Street parking is available near the building, but be sure to lock your car and remove valuables as the area is not the greatest.

Pros: All veg
