Had an early dinner, tried the rainbow pita with mushroom giros. The sauce was excessive, pouring out of the wrap with every bite, so beware of runny liquids😄(classic street food experience!) Excellent blend of sauces and spices. Prices are what you would expect of take away/street food, after inflation, with 5-6 euros per wrap.
The place is located in a nice neighborhood near Exarcheia, with benches and tables outside, good for a quick bite or to sit and eat with company. Fortunately the street is not very touristy or gentrified, and it's clearly stated on the menu everything is plant-based/vegan. The personnel is very polite and the service was super fast. Unfortunately the bathroom is accessible only by stairs.
Highly recommend for an alternative greek street food experience!

Happy we happened to be staying nearby and stopped in for a quick dinner after a day of traveling. My non-veg brother and I ordered souvlakis and both enjoyed them. The food was fresh with quality ingredients, it came out quickly, and the service was friendly. Ended up sharing an outdoor counter with some locals and they said this was their favorite vegan spot in Athens.

This was our first experience of souvlaki and it didn't disappoint! We ordered the 'yellow' and the 'brown and barbeque', and both were so tasty. The mushroom gyros were great in both. The skin-on fries were huge and so good. We also really loved the flatbread used for the wraps. All in all a great experience, definitely recommended!

Some places don't change, and that's good! I was venturing in the neighbourhood and thought of trying something else, but that "else" was closed and so I went back to Cookoomela Grill, which I knew from a brief visit to Athens in 2022. As cheap and delicious (!) as it was back then. I love how they've stayed true to their traditional Greek street food x mushroom concept, and the seating outside allows for friendly encounters with random strangers.

The flavours were really good. The potatoes were crispy on the outside and soft of the inside. The lentil was really nicely spiced in the lentil "kebab". Unfortunately, the place is in a not so pretty neighborhood and isn't so clean. It's very small so you can only sit outside where people might approach you. Otherwise, I'd happily recommend their food!
