Good with some options - Edit
Coffee was good. There were only a few pastry options, the blueberry muffin was really good. Savory items all included egg, tofu, or fake stuff. The No 6 was decent.

Lovely spot in the neighborhood - Edit
I had a delicious cappuccino while sitting in a sunny corner bathed in relaxing- ideal-for-morning music. Loved this place. Ordered a breakfast sandwich with sausage-honestly just perfectly prepared

Decent breakfast spot - Edit
We ordered the coffee and breakfast sandwich combos and a biscotti. The biscotti was really good and the coffee and matcha was delicious too! The breakfast sandwiches were expensive for what they were ($8) and maybe a little bit too salty. Could have benefitted from salsa or hot sauce too.

New neighborhood go-to cafe - Edit
I've been to Daylily a bunch over the past month; it's a great spot to grab a drip coffee and muffin/sandwich/healthy burrito for under $12. If you dine in, you get a free coffee refill, too.
Read moreEvery staff member I've talked to is super accommodating and pleasant. For their sandwiches, they use vegan English muffins from Portland legends Dos Hermanos, so it really feels like supporting them is supporting multiple local business at the same time.
Pros: Great coffee combos, Love the vibe, Friendly staff
Cons: Tables only seat two

Super cute spot - Edit
Pleasantly surprised with the limited food selection. We got the No. 1 with jalapeños and the breakfast burrito— both were very tasty. Loved our iced caramel oat milk latte too. Great pit stop on our urban bike ride. Also lots of seating options both indoor/outdoor!

Not No. 1 - Edit
I ordered the No. 1 breakfast sandwich, which is Just Egg, cheese, arugula, and garlic aioli on an English muffin from local bakery Dos Hermanos. I liked the muffin, but there was too much bread compared to the other ingredients. Overall, the flavor was pretty good, but it was messy to eat, so I'll try the breakfast burrito next time.

Disappointing - Edit
I feel terrible to leave a bad review for a vegan restaurant but we honestly did not enjoy. We came for breakfast. My mom ordered a number 1 and she really enjoyed it but said it needed salt and pepper. My sister ordered a number 3 and a latte and was not happy with either one. I ordered a number 1 and added bacon and was not blown away at all. The bacon was very soft as opposed to being cooked a little more. I think they need a different bread as the egg would slide out with every bite (I love when places really master the gooey sandwich that doesn’t allow for the sandwich falling apart), and they had no condiments. I asked about ketchup and he apologized and said they have no condiments. I’m from NY so idk if it’s not the norm here, but I can’t eat an egg sandwich without ketchup. Luckily I had packets in my car, but it was a shame not to have any ketchup available.

Modern Coffee Shop with Good Sandwiches - Edit
Daylily coffee shop recently opened and is situated next door to the Sudra and an apartment building. Large windows fill the space with light.
Read moreThe coffee is sourced from Roseline and is quite good. I had a drip coffee which was what I expected it be and they offered free refills. I ordered the No.1 breakfast sandwich which featured a Dos Hermanos bun and Just Egg with a garlic aioli—the sandwich was excellent and I would come here again for it.
Daylily coffee shop is an excellent choice for people in the area looking for a modern space and limited breakfast menu. Staff are friendly and outgoing.
Pros: Fully vegan, Free coffee refills, Good breakfast sandwiches
