I travel all over the US for work, and I would put this in the top 10 best vegan dumplings and bao rolls I have had.

Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Dumpling House in Rochester, and my experience was nothing short of delightful. As a vegan traveler, finding accommodating restaurants can sometimes be a challenge, but Dumpling House went above and beyond to ensure a satisfying meal.
Upon entering, I was immediately impressed by the restaurant's cleanliness and well-lit ambiance. The ample seating and convenient parking added to the overall positive first impression. The staff was not only friendly but also incredibly helpful, particularly when we mentioned our vegan preferences. Our waiter assured us that he would notify us if any of our choices posed an issue – a small but appreciated touch that set the tone for the rest of the evening.
To kick off our meal, we opted for the Vegetarian Green Tofu Dumplings and the Hot and Sour Soup. The dumplings were a standout, ranking among the best I've ever tasted. They were perfectly cooked, with a flavorful filling that left me craving more. While the Hot and Sour Soup was good, I would have appreciated a bit more spice to elevate the overall experience.
Moving on to the main course, we indulged in the OG Peanut Noodle with Tofu and the Sesame Tofu Rice Plate. Both dishes were presented beautifully, showcasing a commitment to quality and attention to detail. The Sesame Tofu, in particular, stood out with its impeccably cooked tofu bathed in a delightful sweet sauce. The OG Peanut Noodle with Tofu was equally impressive, featuring an excellent balance of flavors that left my taste buds thoroughly satisfied.
Portion sizes were generous, easily providing enough food for more than two people. The affordability coupled with the delectable flavors makes Dumpling House a fantastic choice for those craving a satisfying and filling vegan meal in Rochester.
In summary, Dumpling House not only met but exceeded my expectations. The combination of a clean and inviting environment, attentive and helpful staff, and mouthwatering vegan options make this restaurant a must-visit for anyone passing through Rochester. I look forward to my next visit to Dumpling House and exploring more of their enticing menu

Note to others: I see many vegan folks talking about the dumplings and bao. Our server told us the dumpling dough contains milk. We had the sesame tofu and veggie fried rice (with no egg). Kids ate spring rolls and loved them.

It was tasty! Def worth going to visit. There were some solid choices you'd expect like veggie spring rolls, veggie dumplings and bao, a few tofu rice dishes. I do think some of the veggie dishes were under salted.
