Yummy!! - Edit
I tried two pastries, a tornillo and pastelillo de guava. I liked the guava one more, it was sweet and flakey. Tornillo was ok, I didn’t love the cream inside. I had an oat caramel latte, which was really good, not too sweet and not too bitter. I went in for about an hour to eat and study. The atmosphere was nice, lively music, clean space, friendly staff, lots of people but not a lot of chatter. I would come in again, especially to try the food. I don’t think there’s free parking nearby, unless you are there before the paid hours start. Just something to keep in mind.

Cute spot for quick coffee and pastry - Edit
I really like this place! They have several coffee options, lots of flavors I haven't tried. The pastries are yummy, too. Prices are good too!

Cute! Yummy! - Edit
Happy to finally have the chance to try El Cerro. I echo others’ comment that they run out of food and are very small. I think that’s par for the course with a small place like this but it’s good to be aware of. The portions were small for the price, honestly. But I still give it five stars because I LOVE that there’s an all vegan Puerto Rican cafe! I liked the biscocho latte and the tripleta.😄The decor is super cute and the staff is nice. Everyone seems to be bilingual as well! So you can order in Spanish.

out of food by midday - Edit
I'm very excited to eventually try their baked goods, but when I came at around 1:00 on a Sunday they had nothing but biscotti. They said in the future I can order ahead; I tried and the online order form didn't work for me. Just mentioning this to anyone planning a special trip out for the baked treats... Maybe call ahead or get there early.

Great coffee shop with fun pastries and bites. - Edit
My wife and I were sad to see Dough Joy leave but El Cerro is an excellent replacement. Fully vegan cafe with nice vibe, great and interesting coffees and pastries and some small bites.

SO fantastic - complete love at first sight with this spot 💚 - Edit
Bright coffee shop full of joy, warm people, & fantastic (fully plant-based!) coffee & pastries!
Read moreThe owner was so kind, & helped me choose between *five* drinks that all sounded too good – even gave me little samples of the top two contenders (which made me want to come back to try everything else, cause they were both great.) I ended up trying an iced Dirty Morir Soñando, which was great - so refreshing to get a bright, fruity iced coffee drink on a hot, wildfire-smoky day, & I love that the espresso balances with the other ingredients to = not too sweet. Also tried a Tornillo (because *vegan Bavarian cream*!), & it was delicious – light flaky pastry & real-creamy, vanilla-y custard – this one *was* sweet, lol. Next time I’ll try the El Ajonjolí – the sample of this was as special as you’d hope it to be.
(As a side note: LOVE that this shop that ended up in the old Dough Joy space is somehow also all of: plant-based, delicious, *and* full of joy – what are the odds?!)
