Can vegans most food with tofu

The plus is that they can replace the meat with tofu and hold the cheese to veganize most dishes. We liked the fajita vegetables the best. The downside is that the spice level of the food was low so it was fairly bland.

Pros: Can veganize most dishes , Fajita vegetables were tasty

Cons: Food is on the bland side

options

they had tofu substitute for meat. i got the pollo tacos with tofu instead of chicken. i specified i was vegan beforehand, and when the server asked if i wanted rice & beans, i asked if they were vegan again. he said yes, and they came out with cheese on top. makes me weary to trust that there’s no lard or anything else in the beans. the tacos were great though.

Not vegan friendly

We had a very poor experience here. They have one “entre” that can be made vegan and it is very greasy. Your paying $12 for 3 tacos with half the toppings removed. We paid too much and left hungry. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Pros: Beans are vegan

Cons: Poor options

Authentic Mexican, be careful with one thing

There are a lot of little things that one might not consider as a vegan. One of those things is fried foods sharing the same oil as meat. And unfortunately, this place does just that. So sadly, you cant have anything fried here, including chips. Which really sux because chips and salsa are my fave. BUT they offered to bring me some crunchy taco shells instead which was just fine😄I ordered enchiladas with tofu and beans and they were great. The guac had way too much onion. The queso was great though. Id come back if the Thai place was closed. Id say #2 best in the area.

Tofu Tacos

They have veggie nachos and vegetarian tacos which can be easily veganized, for vegetarians they have chile rellenos. The cool thing is they'll sub tofu for any meat item on the menu.

Now for the so-so stuff: their horchata is absolute watered down tasteless garbage, the chips were on the stale side and the avocados must have went to private school because a small side of guac is super expensive. Also the veggie tacos lack flavor they're just really plain.

Vegans - a heads up the corn on the veggie tacos comes in a non-vegan mayo base.

That said, the portions are huge, staff is vegan knowledgeable, location is great and they have outdoor seating in summer.

Friendly staff, vegan friendly

The server was knowledgeable about veganism and offered to customize anything we wanted. We got the vegetarian tacos with grilled veggies and retried beans (sans corn salad- has cheese) and added guacamole, pico, lettuce, and grilled pineapple. Yum! Great bar also. Outdoor seating is dog friendly - bonus!
