Great neighborhood restaurant - Edit
We got two of the six ingredient samples, so we could try everything. It was all good, but the lentil and pea dishes especially stood out.

Lovely vegan Ethiopian food - Edit
Lovely simple platter system - choose rice or bread and how many hot dishes you'd like (3 to 6 options available). Even the smallest 3 item platter was a filling meal, and that's just £8.

Fully vegan, delicious and easy-to-order Ethiopian food! - Edit
This restaurant is located right next to another Ethiopian restaurant which isn't vegan so don't confuse it with that. Though I doubt you will miss the "Ethiopian Vegan Cafe" sub heading.
Read moreThe restaurant is small and cosy. The food is ordered at the counter with a large selection of Ethiopian drinks such as Ethiopian Spiced Tea - a great choice for Winter. You choose which item combo you want, whether you want Injera or Rice and select the stews on the right. They are clearly labelled and open so you can see what you are getting. It is very, very quick to get your food, pay and sit down to eat!
Pros: Quick serve time, Can look at the food items before ordering, Friendly staff and great tasting food

Came across this place while waiting for a gig at the Boston Music Rooms. Lovely flavours and decent size portion for the money. The place had a very friendly feel about it and you can choose which meal items to have with rice or bread.

We got Engocha as a take way.
Read moreIt was nice rustic Ethiopian food but found the portions were a bit small and while tasty it's not the best example of Ethiopian food on offer.
We go there a lot to buy Injera for when we cook Ethiopian and unfortunately you can't buy one, you have to purchase 3 at a time which we end up having to throw away and it's wrapped in a lot of unnecessary plastic.
Pros: cheap, you get a lot of Injera for your money
Cons: portions are a bit small, seating is like a cantin.

Amazing Service, and Fantastic Food - Edit
I have been wanting to try Ethiopian food for a very long time. My first experience of the cuisine did not disappoint.
Read moreThe woman at Engocha was extremely friendly, and polite. They were helpful with explaining how ordering worked to us first timers. My partner and I shared a 5 wot plate. One thing that stood out was that we were offered more Injera if we wanted because we had run out before finishing the wots. This made me happy, it’s those small extra touches that make the experience even better.
There was a a choice of rice, or injera. We chose to have the injera as we had never tried that before, and I really wanted to try it.
Tikil Gomen (Curry Potatoes, Cabbage, and Carrot) was delicious. I love sauerkraut, and this kind of reminds me of that but not sour.
Fesolia (string bean wot) was pretty good. that is not a reflection on the restaurant, I am just not a fan of green beans. If you like green beans then this is perfect for you.
Shiro (roasted and ground chickpeas slow cooked in mild spices, garlic, tomato, onion, and olive oil sauce) was amazing, first of all we didn’t know exactly what it was, but it was delicious, went perfectly with the lentil wots.
Ater Kik (splits simmered with turmeric, and ginger) was amazing. My partner and I both loved this. Its akin to a dhal, but way better.
Misir Kik (medium spiced lentil wot) was also really nice, similar to the above Ater Kik but a red, spicier version.
The Injera was fantastic. It was my first time trying the flatbread, and was amazed how flavourful it was. I love sourdough bread, and Injera has a similar flavour. It was so good the next day I ordered a load online to keep in the freezer at home, so I can attempt to recreate this at home.
I would recommend this restaurant to any vegan looking for cheap, delicious food in North West London.
Pros: Fully Vegan!, Great Price, Friendly Staff
Cons: London based, and not Worcester :(, No menu option to have all the Wots (6-7)

Great new vegan cafe! - Edit
Really nice, small Ethiopian vegan cafe serving options of 6 different dishes, along with rice or injera. You can order a selection of 3, 4 or 5 of the dishes.....I went for 5 as I couldn't choose! ☺ Very relaxed atmosphere, with friendly staff, will be going back soon to help support this new cafe, which is only 4 weeks old.

Nice food - Edit
A friend and I went in for lunch and both had the 3 wot plates for £4.99 which you choose from a selection of about 6 dishes - I had injera and my friend the rice. For me the portion was a bit small, so I'd recommend going for the 4 or 5 if you have a slightly bigger appetite. I got 4 rolls of injera which I thought was good. The food was very tasty and everything being gluten-free made picking a lot easier. They have a nice drinks menu with loads of different hot drinks - I had the golden milk and a soya hot chocolate which were both good.
Read moreEngocha currently doesn't do desserts, but the lady said they plan to in the future and they currently also don't take card.

Delicious, reasonably priced food - Edit
If you've never tried Ethiopian food before, this is a great place to start. The owner was lovely and friendly, and explained how she'd made the dishes. You can select the number of dishes you want to try (mainly curry and veg based), and whether you'd like to have it with flatbread or rice. The flatbread was delicious, with a sour almost yoghurt-like flavour (but 100% vegan of course!)
Read moreOverall, a lovely place (cheap too, at about £5) but bear in mind it's more a cafe than a restaurant and is pretty no frills.
Pros: Delicious, healthy food, Cheap!, Lovely management
