We had a special at the time and a haggis melt. Can’t stop thinking about the haggis one, so good! Also picked up a couple of bits of cake that were really nice too. Doggy friendly which is a bonus too!

Ordered the buttermilk chicken sandwich and the faux McMuffin. Both delicious. Both specials. Have been back since and tried the Reuben sandwich, which did not disappoint. Very friendly staff too, who are clearly passionate about the food they are serving. 10/10

Super cute eatery with very friendly staff. The 3 of us shared a maple pecan Danish, a lemon cake and a carrot and pistachio cake, which were absolutely delicious 😋.

Plenty of delicious options plus weekly specials kept me coming back week after week to try something new. No menu item should be slept on, they are all incredible, however the mac and cheese is possibly in a league of its own. Everything is made fresh and although the space is small, it's very cosy and very friendly.

BEST VEGAN FOOD I’VE EVER HAD - Edit
I’ve been going here once a week for about 8 months. I have tried pretty much everything on the menu and honestly I can’t say they’ve ever missed the mark. The food is INSANELY good. They make all their own cheese and meat in house which is so rare . I tried the Mac and cheez Sando with bacon on my third visit because I saw it had won awards and honestly, I don’t think I could go a single week without eating one. The grilled sandwiches are addictive. The Crunchwrap with chicken is another star of the menu. Kimcheeze is delicious, tuna melt is insane!!!! Must visit for Edinburgh

Super cute all vegan eatery with seating. A wide range of different toasties with different specials on. They also have an AWARD-WINNING vegan mac n cheeze!! Was incredible! so happy to have found this place! Staff were expceptionally nice too and the food was delicious!!xx

Never had Mac‘n‘Cheese on Bread before, but it was definetely worth a try! Nice guy running this little Café with the cutest dog patiently waiting to get cuddled by everyone. Will come back to try the other options!

Everything at FacePlant is amazing, not only the food, but the staff are pretty damn good too. It's lovely to be remembered every time I go back. My very favourite is the Reuben sandwich. I challenge you to find anything that tastes better! Although I have to admit, their chik'n is amazingly tasty and hard to resist.

There's a reason the mac n cheese toastie is award winning! A must if you're in leith. Also reccomend trying to find them at the market for their market only specials. Truly delicious food. I wish they were open more though, it can be tough to get out to leith during the weekends when I'm working usually.

Okay while the food here is really good, I had to give this place four stars for the portion size to price ratio. They mostly do gourmet sandwiches and mac & cheese and that sort of thing; I had a reuben last time I went, which wasn’t bad but also probably wasn’t the best thing on their menu since it had way too much mustard for me, so I’ll have to go back to try something else and confirm my suspicions. But, they have a chocolate lava cake that you can get with vegan ice cream on top, and I think I could singlehandedly eat like fifteen of those things.
