Yummy and fresh - Edit
Flax & Kale is famous in Barcelona for a reason. It’s fresh, whole-ingredient goodness. I went with some non-veggie friends and family, and we all enjoyed our meal. It is a tad pricey, but I think the vegan options for breakfast are not. I had the plant-based bacon and cheese bagel, which was delicious (can you say vegan marscapone?!?) and a great value. I also recommend their Virus Killer juice, and a Moskito for dessert.

Delicious food, sadly not 100% vegan. - Edit
We went there after 7 pm (got the Dinner-Card) and ordered the following dishes:
Read more- Raw vegan Lasagne (5/5) 👌🏼
- Green Power Ravioli (5/5) 👌🏼
Both orders were very special, delicious and of course vegan (marked as PB -> plant based).
We have been there in July 2019.

Very poor management. Take the burger off the menu! - Edit
We first visited Flax and Kale for brunch at the weekend. Although slighty pretentious and overpriced for the amount of food, we thought our choices (acai nutella bowl and Mediterranean avo toast) were well thought out and enjoyable dishes.
Read moreWe decided to visit here a second time for lunch. I had the tacos, which were enjoyable but again overpriced considering the simplicity of the dish (in London I have paid £5 cheaper in a similar restaurant for the same style dish).
My boyfriend ordered what was described as 'the best veggie burger'. Although a slightly unadventurous option we were expecting something original and tasty. Unfortunately this dish was extremely disappointing. The burger itself was a bland greasy mush with small pieces of vegetable in it (very much like a cheap UK fish and chip shop veggie burger). The bun, which had to be ordered as an extra was plopped on top of the stir fried vegetables which left it soaky from the steam by the time it had reached the table. The vegetables themselves were completely drenched in oil and the salad offering was disappointing too, consisting of 4 undressed lettuce leafs. The artichoke heart was OK.
Even though very hungry, he left 3/4 of the dish unable to bring himself to eat the remainder due to the amount of oil and wet bread. We politely expressed our disappointment about this dish to the waiter, who graciously said he would call the manager over to hear more about our concerns. After a short wait he instead bought us the bill. Having been offered no apology or the opportunity to give feedback, we asked for the burger to be removed from the bill. At this point the manager finally came over. He offered no apology whatsoever and didn't even ask what was wrong with the food. He simply said that because some of it was eaten we had to pay (it was literally a few bites).
Poor customer service was the last thing we expected from a restaurant that clearly takes its image so seriously. It was very surprising that they had no concern about the quality of one of their dishes.
If it wasn't bad enough that the food wasn't good and that they wouldn't remove it from the bill, it was more astonishing that they did not even listen to our feedback or apologise. This has to be up there with the worst customer we have ever received.
Pros: Vegan and gluten-free options
Cons: Slightly overpriced, Management clearly take customers for granted

Good variety on the menu, plenty of vegan options. The food looked and tasted great. The restaurant itself is nice, spacious and bright. I had the open vegan burger, which was very tasty. Sadly, we didn’t have time for dessert.

If I could give it 5 stars I would! - Edit
You can only give 5 stars to veggie restaurants, but this place definitely deserved another one. I came back three times during my trip, to try all the different options. The gluten free pasta with creamy mushroom sauce was delicious, the juices were very good, the apple crumble was really nice (especially the sweet potato ice cream on top). The muffins I bought for my train ride were amazing, and the only thing I could leave off my list was the vegan cheese bagel which was pretty dry. It’s on the pricey side, but welcomes single diners without a reservation, and the atmosphere and servers were lovely.

Went here for brunch over the weekend and sat outside in the little courtyard area across from the restaurant since it was busy inside. Our waitress did not have the most pleasant attitude and was annoyed when we asked to be moved inside because of strong winds. Despite her attitude, the service was good and the food came fast. I tried the Acaítella bowl which was presented beautifully with fruit on the bottom and toppings on top. I was intrigued by the turmeric glaze that came on top and liked how it was hardened to the acaí. At first it appeared like a small portion size for the price but it kept me full all day. My friends order avocado toast and the healthy pancakes (vegetarian) and enjoyed their meals as well. I appreciated how the menu was clearly labeled and was written in Castellano, Catalan, and English.

INCREDIBLE - Edit
Honestly I was amazed by the variety, health, taste and seating area of this gorgeous place. It was so relaxing and beautiful. We sat outside up on their roof terrace and had a lovely lunch. Staff are amazing and plant based options are clearly stated on the menu. Will be going back tomorrow! Would give it 5 stars but cannot as it isn’t vegan only.

Lots of options, some far better than others - Edit
The cappuccino was horrible as was the “bacon and cheddar” bagel (which comes with mashed tomatoes as well). The bowls are great though, and the atmosphere is nice. There is rooftop patio that you have to specifically request. The juice is hood but is served in plastic bottles! Single use. Super wasteful and less fresh.

Nice spot near the University - Edit
I went here for lunch having just arrived from the airport; my hotel was close by. I requested a table for one but was shown to a long "sharing table", which was fine by me. The place has a nice vibe and the staff were efficient and pleasant. There is a huge range of juices and I chose one called "Symbiotic Passion". To be honest, it wasn't as tasty as I was expecting and it seemed a little over-priced at €4.95. It came in a glass bottle, which looked like the kind that could be sterilised and reused, which is great. I also had "Teresa's Favourite Kale Salad", which had a huge array of ingredients, including mango, avocado and seaweed. It tasted like a salad that someone had really thought about, although I would have preferred slightly less kale in the mix! All in all, a decent lunch in pleasant surroundings. Note that although there is a huge range of vegetarian and vegan dishes here, there are also fish dishes.

Bright & Tasty - Edit
Lovely bright restaurant with a nice atmosphere. The menu is provided in multiple languages, including English, and vegan options are clearly marked. I enjoyed a tasty wrap that came with a refreshing mango salad, followed by a really delicious dessert of crumble with sweet potato ice-cream. The juices are fab too, if a little pricey.
