Foul Me Once - Edit
Rave reviews led me to this slinger of simple, traditional Middle Eastern fayre. From what I was led to believe, the hummus was second-to-none and the foul was a treat that just had to be tried. Lofty praise indeed, but could the reality match the bluster? In short, no. Not that there was anything massively wrong with anything that I had, it just wasn’t as groundbreaking as I had been led to believe. I sampled nearly every available sandwich which allowed to taste both the aforementioned items and while the hummus was indeed fresh and tasty (again, fairly standard), I found the foul to be texturally a little dry and lacking in depth of real flavour. The best thing that I had was actually the falafel, they were crisp, moist and overall really rather tasty.
Read moreThis a good place, with a wonderful heart and reasonable prices, but not the showstopper I thought it would be. I would return here for a quick fix, though it’s not likely to be my go-to.
