Disappointing takeaway - Edit
I enjoyed the meal (eat in) in the Tsuen Wan branch last week, so I decided to order takeaway at this branch. Staff was kind enough to confirm that barbecue pork contained honey and that I could swap it for another mock meat in the roast meat platter. I ordered the roast meat platter, lotus root cake (savoury) and spicy fried aubergine. The fake intestines tasted rubbery instead of crunchy unlike in the TW branch, lotus root cakes were rock solid and aubergines were bland.

Huge selection of different dishes. Very tasty. Maybe it's better to make a reservation first.

Yummy! - Edit
Ordered the lunch set menu for 2 pax and portion is just nice. Love the sweet and sour pork, and the fried noodles with very strong wok hey!

Large portions, good food - Edit
They graciously let me come in for dinner at 9.30pm despite getting ready to close. Dumplings were not quite steamed fully but tasted good. Spicy Thai rice noodles were not at all spicy, even with extra spicy sauce, but clearly resembled my beloved pad see ew so I was happy. Quite oily and could do with more veggies. Huge servings.

Gaia Veggie Shop - Wong Tai Sin, Hong Kong - Edit
The lady who runs this chain of eateries is very nice. In being compelled to report the facts I thus regret to say that she does not have any understanding of the concept of veganism. Any dishes that are on the menu are vegan by coincidence rather than intent. Trust their attention to detail in reporting egg and dairy content in dishes at your own peril. For example that the menu indicates that some dishes contain egg implicitly implies that dishes without that symbol do not contain egg. Only take that to mean that the chef doesn't add egg to a dish. Do not take that to mean that any ingredients such as mock are egg free. Also the do not take to mean that there is a high level of rigour in the kitchen to protect against contamination of non vegan ingredients via the utensils they use in the kitchen.
