The service was great! The coffee was great! The toast and sandwich we ordered were delicious and perfect for our first bite in Portugal. The sweet custard pastry was also a yummy polishing off to a fun meal!

Hip Vegan! - Edit
After a lengthy visit to the extraordinary St. Anthony's Cathedral, we required refueling; and, as such, ended-up at the highly rated GAL (all-caps), a hipster-type neighborhood restaurant. A couple of thirst-quenching Musa's "P$ycho Pilsner" was first in order. For lunch, I ordered their roasted tempeh on a ciabatta roll, with a cashew cream, salad and pickled carrots and onions. The ciabatta roll was soft and delicious; the roasted tempeh was nice (perhaps a bit on the soft-side for my liking; but still good); sandwich accompaniments were fresh and tasty. Overall, it was a very pleasant lunch that satisfied my hunger pangs. GAL is good food!

Great for a Lite Bite - Edit
This coffee shop is super hipster and serves yummy light bites. The service was awesome and super friendly. If you’re looking for a cool place with indoor and outdoor seating and great music, you’ve found it! The food was really good, especially the Gal Tropical. It had a bunch of flavors that went together really well. The hummus bed the food was served on had a Tahini forward flavor that went really well with the mango and avocado slices. The crispy tofu was coated in Panko that made it exceptionally crispy.

Nice café - Edit
I bought a cookie and a pastel de nata to take away. Very good tastes, though the cookie was very hard - was great dipped in camomile tea later on. Looked like a nice place for a leisurely cup of coffee.

Just ok - Edit
So 🤔 I know that there are some great reviews here with 5 stars … but for a bakery .. just wasn’t really all that great … had the ham and cheese croissant 🥐… croissant was void of fresh taste… and we were there just as it opened… also the cheese and ham were deli slices… if I had gone to a deli then perfect … but this was a bakery cafe … expected a little bit more … BUT… the prices were very respectable

Popped in for a late breakfast/early lunch. Really nice decor and very friendly welcoming staff. Got an avocado smoothie and freshly baked ham and cheese croissant, a 10/10. Food very fresh and reasonably priced.

O melhor pequeno almoço vegan em Lisboa! - Edit

We tried the ham and cheese croissant which was so delicious! And also had the espresso chocolate pancakes, they’re very rich chocolatey and the pancakes are so thick and fluffy. Very friendly staff. Cute atmosphere cafe. Great meal all round.

The previous vegan cafe in this building left, but I am very happy that out of all possible options, this new GAL Cafe came in their place. Great vegan pastries and plenty of options as well. Sincerely, a new regular

So cute and tasty! - Edit
I loved this cafe, the vibes are great and it is dog friendly! My friend and I hopped over here cause I really wanted to get a vegan pastel de nata in the city, but we decided to get breakfast here too. I got this toasted cheesy sandwich with ham and it was so filling and savory. I would definitely go back here again!

Pretty good - Edit
We got the salmon bagel, peanut butter pancakes, ham and cheese croissaint and chocolate croissant.
Read moreHam and cheese croissaint was simple but good, it seemed freshly made with nice tomato and lettuce.
Chocolate croissaint was delicious.
The peanut butter pancakes were pretty basic but the peanut butter made it difficult to eat as it felt quite "dry" in the mouth, we asked for some syrup to help "moisten" them
The salmon bagel was good too, the salmon texture wasn't my favourite but the overall flavour was good
