Really tasty vegetarian food, quite a few options - Edit
We had the vegetarian sushi, truffle salad, cheese board, chips, bread, and edamame beans and loved every dish!
Read moreThey seem to do last orders at 7:30pm though so I’d recommend not leaving dinner too late.
It was a little pricey compared to food in big cities in Japan, but not too bad compared to UK/London prices which I am used to.
Pros: Truffle miso salad was AMAZINGLY TASTY, Beautiful view out the window, Attentive staff
Cons: All mains are meat, have to order many small plate

La comida está muy buena, aunque el precio un poco elevado. El sitio es bonito.
Read morePero el recepcionista/camarero fue muy maleducado y desagradable con nosotros. Incluso nos quitó la salsa de soja para que nos echáramos más, cuando habíamos pedido varios platos de sushi.

Lovely range of veggie options, the most range I've seen so far in a standard restaurant in Japan. Sat at the counter seat and could see the masterful preparations of our food. Staff were very friendly and the service was quick. Bonuses were the foot bath just outside the restaurant and the view of the rock garden just behind the chef station.

Not great for vegans - Edit
Vegetable sushi is vegan but the other seemingly vegan options are mostly not. Salads have bonito flakes (in sauce too), all vegetables are grilled on the same grill at the same time as meat (in the juices), and bread has eggs in it. Okay place to go considering Hakone has limited vegan friendly restaurants but not ideal.

Great veggie options! - Edit
This place has veggie options for everyone. I had the spicy edamame, bread, shiitake mushrooms and the vegetable roll. They also had a California roll which looked good. We sat next to the chef and the salads also looks amazing! I was surprised this was not on happy cow so I literally made an account to put it up since I know it’s hard finding veggie options in Japan sometimes!!
