I enjoyed it - Edit
I enjoyed Greens N Teff. I ordered greens, cabbage and carrots, green lentils, red spicy lentils, and mushroom tibs. Everything was good but the mushroom tibs were fantastic! I’ve never had mushrooms before with Ethiopian options and really enjoyed it.

Fully vegan Ethiopian takeout - Edit
I love to see fully vegan Ethiopian restaurants. With a large plate, you get to pick 2 "proteins" and 3 greens. I enjoyed the proteins I tried, which were the Spicy Mushroom Tibs and Mild Split Pea Stew. The amount of injera they give is great too. The greens were more of a miss, I wish I could've just picked 5 things from the "proteins" category. The Beets were good, but I didn't care for the Cabbage n Carrots or Cauliflower Tibs.
Read moreStill, I like that there's such a large variety of options.
I noticed a review mentioned one small table despite being a takeout spot, but I dont recommend dining in at that table because the area and staff aren't equipped for dine in. There was no staff around, I didn't know where they went when I wanted to buy water. Keep it takeout and delivery to have the best experience.

I saw your Enatye recommendation as the best Ethiopian food you've ever had, so my original plan was to go there. I ended up at Greens & Teff because I couldn't make it out further 😅 Next time hopefully

Vegan Ethiopian food - Edit
The food at this hole-in-the-wall type Ethiopian place is delicious and fast. However it is takeout only and a little bit pricey, but not too bad in a relative sense. Would eat there again if I lived in the area.

Good amount of tasty food, but we couldn’t find the wow factor - Edit
Family all had large plates tonight and liked everything we tried. The best part is the plates come with several components so you get to try a variety. They also did not skimp on the injera. Between the four of us we tried most of the options. It was all tasty but no single dish stood out.
Read moreWe would definitely go back again and it is certainly worth a look if you haven’t been before, but the consensus was that it wasn’t our favorite. We think 4 stars on taste and 5 for portion size.
Pros: Good portion size!

Empty Store… No Food - Edit
Showed up Sunday at 4pm… maps has their hours listed from 11am to 7pm. The store front had an open sign, the door was open, but no one was in the kitchen and all the food pans were empty.

They never come out front - Edit
We would have liked to try this while we were in town...we stopped by at 3:15 on a Mondy afternoon and no one ever came out to the front to serve us. The door was open and no one there. Bummer because we were really looking forward to trying this.
Read moreBTW this place only has one table with two chairs so it's obviously really intended for carry-out.
Pros: None if we can't get service
Cons: No body on-hand, EXTREMELY small -take only really

It's difficult to get them to come out front, I agree.

Very Good Food and Great Service - Edit
I have tried food from Greens N Teff twice. Once by ordering through a delivery service, and another after visiting their building. Both times I ordered the extra-large plate (pictured). I love that all the food offered is vegan. The server was very generous and friendly. Loved all the flavors. Many protein options as well. A meat-eater we recommended the place to got lunch there and they really enjoyed it as well. Thank you! :)
Read moreUpdate: I’ve had their food a third time (this time the large plate) and it was just as good as I remembered! I even had some leftover for the following day and extra injera after I ate all the food! They are now using more sustainable packaging, which is great.

Awesome stuff! - Edit
Ordered the large container, got mushrooms and split pea stew as my proteins and some of a few different veggies as well. He threw in a container of the spicy red lentils for free cause it was their 1 year anniversary; I’m happy cause that was my favorite part! He gave me 2 of the biggest circles of injera I’ve ever seen (I don’t see the full circles in other reviews so maybe I just got lucky on their anniversary). Everything was phenomenal and I’ll be back often for sure

Delicious and well-priced - Edit
A friend offered to pick up some food from Greens N Teff for my partner and me, and I'm glad we said yes! I ordered two regular plates and got the full range of veggie sides. Everything was excellent, so fresh and tasty! I especially loved the mushroom tibs, difin misir wet, and yatakilt. And of course you can't go wrong with injera!
Read moreI do wish the packaging were a little more environmentally friendly, especially since this is a takeout-only operation right now. The food prices are very affordable, and I'd happily pay a few extra dollars to offset the costs of more earth-friendly packaging.

Delish vegan Ethiopian! - Edit
This is my dream come true - almost.
Read moreThe good part: it's all vegan! That's my dream come true. I hate going to Ethiopian places that have amazing vegan food... with meat served to others.... but this place is so clean and vegan!
The only bad part is that Greens N Teff is only takeout - so, that means there's a lot of takeout waste, because the food is a lot, and the containers are single use.
Anyhow, the good stuff: it's delicious. It's all vegan. It's amazing. They have 3 options for your carbs: organic white basmati rice or injera at no charge, and then the 3rd option for $3 more is the gluten free injera. Awesome!
The food: order only the dishes a la carte, order a small, order a large or extra large plate. That means for the small: 1 protein + 2 greens; for the large: 2 proteins + 3 greens, and the extra large: 3 proteins + 4 greens. I wish there were more greens. When you order the extra large that is all their green options. They have more protein options though: split peas, two types of red lentils, green lentils and mushroom tibs.
So good! The portions are very generous, especially if, like me, you eat all the carbs. I believe that the large plate is really enough for 2 people of normal appetite!
I loved the green beans and the mushrooms. So good! The place smells so good, too! The food is not too salty. If you like or love Ethiopian food, eating here will make your veg*n self very happy from the inside glowing happy and bright.
Pros: All vegan, Green beans, Gluten free injera
Cons: Takeout containers, Can't eat inside, Want more veggie/ greens options
