Such a nice cafe - Edit
Super cute cafe, close to the botanical gardens. The staff is super friendly, the Beetroot Hot Chocolate was amazing and the sandwich very good. All vegan choices are clearly labeled. Unfortunately I was too full for cake, because the cakes (vegan options available) and bakery looked amazing!

Ok coffee, need to go back to try oats - Edit
Coffee was fine. No extra charge for oat milk. The brownie I had in the past was fine. Keep hearing good things about the porridge so i need to go back and try and update!

Coffee - Edit
I’ve only stopped in for coffee which was decent. Looking forward to trying those overnight oats.

Favourite cafe in Edinburgh for vegans - Edit
Hata is run by a friendly hard working couple who opened in the pandemic and have huge base of regulars. We love going here multiple times a week for an oat milk coffee and a vegan sandwich. They are always able to veganise a sandwich or toasty from their weekly specials and they are always yummy! The soup is always vegan and rotates weekly. They have vegan treats such as peanut and sweet potato brownies.

Currently limited seating inside, just two tables but can get takeaway and sit in the park behind. I think soon they want to renovate to add more seats downstairs so watch this space. Oh and it's doggy friendly and they love dogs.
Pros: Cosy and friendly, Great coffee, Vegan treats and food
