Some of these reviews have GOT to be fake

The food is fine. That's it. Probably every other vegan Asian and pan-Asian restaurant I've been to - anywhere in the world - is better. I feel like some of these glowing reviews have got to be fake. A lot of the menu is something you could easily whip up at home with the same result, or get a better version of at another restaurant. The food certainly does not warrant the bloated up prices.

The crab cakes seem to be Gardein, and the tuna is the same brand that has been used at all Loving Huts since forever (you can also find it in many stores). Using these products is not a problem per se, but when you give people 3 measly pieces with a bit of sugary sauce for $17, the assumption by many will be that these products are made in-house. The owners are laughing all the way to the bank.

The best vegan Asian cuisine I’ve ever had

This exceeded all my expectations. An upscale feel and the dishes are well worth the price. I got the sticky rice app with taro and mushroom and the orange chicken dish. Wow, I’ll be thinking about this meal for a very long time

A proper meal

Beside the genuine, warm and truly professional service; beside the classy, calming atmosphere, this is a place to come for a healthy, proper, well priced meal.

Clean, fresh and creative; bursts of flavour in every bite, dishes created with care and respect for a vegan Who doesn’t just want to replace meat with a greasy burger but rather enjoy the benefits of real vegan flavours & foods.

Pros: Service, Options, Taste

Too salty and overpriced

For our first visit to Herban Fix, we ordered a few different items to try out the lunch menu. I understand this is meant to be an upscale restaurant, but I was frankly shocked at the small amount of food on the plates for the prices. I ordered the crabcakes ($17), and three 1-inch diameter cakes were served with a very small bed of greens and dressing. The flavor and texture of the crabcakes were fantastic (this was the best item we tasted), but the dressing on the greens tasted off, and for the price, I just expected much more. I also ordered the lemongrass consomme with vegetable dumplings ($9). This was served as a small cup of soup with about 3 dumplings. The broth was very salty, and the dumplings tasted good but fell apart in the soup. My partner ordered the bibimbap ($19). The bowl wasn't hot, and it lacked the crusty rice that is typical of this dish. I again found the dish salty, but my partner felt it lacked flavor altogether. The gochujang sauce had an unusual flavor to me and almost tasted fruity or a bit sweet. The dining space is grand and open, which makes this a nice spot for a date or fancy occasion, but a lot of the furniture and finishings show wear and tear. I'm not sure we'll go back.

Pros: Crabcake flavor and texture, Large open dining space, Friendly staff

Cons: Prices, Salt level, Some flavors were off

Amaze

Vegan fine dining for sure. We were a group of seven. Staff friendly and accomodating. Loved the food presentations. Felt like we were really taken care of. The menu had a variety of choices. I tried the side of brussel sprouts as an appetizer. Also, had the vegan crab cakes. For an entree, the seared pom pom mushroom steak with veggies was excellent. Also tried the stir fried soy chicken in citrus sauce. Definitely a restaurant not to miss when in Atlanta.

It used to be good...

I've been to Herban Fix a couple times a year since 2018. The quality of food really seems to have slid downhill. I remember things being more flavorful and unique, and now every dish is bland and greasy. The cocktails are delicious though!

Delicious food, Incredible Desserts

It's upscale and the prices match. Lots of cuisine types to choose from, mushroom steak, asian, Italian. Desserts are amazing. I tasted all of my party's desserts and loved them all. Beer menu is limited if that's important to you.

Pros: Good selection, Amazing desserts, Friendly staff

Cons: Limited beer menu, Portions are small

Great vegan fine dining

I have been here many times over the years, and it has been amazing every single time. My only criticism is that the brunch has gotten very expensive. As of February 2024, it is $38/person. At least for me, I can't eat enough to make the price worth it.

Pros: So much variety , Fine dining experience , Free parking

Cons: Brunch is a bit overpriced

Everything taste’s amazing

The restaurant itself has a slightly upscale look but the food prices are very reasonable. The options were great. Everything from the appetizers, entrees, and desserts tasted so good. I have no complaints. Also there’s a 2 hour complimentary parking. #Veganuary

Great option in the heart of Atlanta

Loved the food here -- was really delicious & aromatic! Took my non-vegan sister here & she loved it so much she was inspired to start cooking some vegan dishes at home. Though the food was lovely, I feel like it didn't really merit the upscale vibe they are going for.

Amazing experience and food

A great vegan Asian kitchen. Amazing flavors and a lot of choices. Really great service, employees are fantastic . They’ve mastered the pan seared fsh. Their flavors are great. Stop here if you’re in Atlanta and have the $. It’s not super expensive but 30-50 pp.

Flavorful, great service, Could be higher quality

My parents and I came here and got a ton of food for our birthdays. It added up $$$
Good taste. Everything is super flavorful (some a little too strong in fact)
Probably will not come again but good to try once. My parents also didn’t feel the prices matched the food. But it’s upscale vegan so they priced it this way— on a Saturday night there was not many people there at all.

Compared to PLANT in Asheville, this does not come close in my opinion to quality. Especially with the high prices.
I strongly feel the quality could be higher at this price point. For example, why is the tofu not organic?! It’s not that much more expensive but VERY important to have organic soy.
And the To-go container is plastic …

We got:

Appetizers:
Coconut soup: VERY similar to Thom Kha soup. Very flavored and strong. Raw veggies inside.

Asian glutinous rice with shiitake/taro.
I liked it. I like sticky rice.

Pan seared scallion pancakes- good and comes with great sauce.

Crispy sushi roll- these are filled with rice and crispy outside. Yummy. Didn’t care for the very sweet sauce on top and prefer the above curry sauce on..everything.

Entrees-
Crispy King oyster — this is tempura batter. Wish It was labeled that way. With spinach. Comes with a side of a little rice, same as below. Decent.

Pom Pom mushroom steak— this was very interesting. Pretty salty for me with soy sauce. But still good. With sautéed greens which were good.

Bibimbap- fried rice dish with veggies on top. The sauce is a little spicy and sweet. I don’t care for sweet sauces so not my fave.

Dessert—

Taro cake- the least sweet cake which is why I ordered it (How I had more space in my belly is a mystery…not…I have endless space in there…)
The cake wasn’t soft though. Maybe not so fresh?

“Raspberry” chocolate cake- super decadent. Sweet. Good. Doesn’t taste like raspberry.

Great menu, tad under seasoned

Extensive menu, wonderful service! Portions were reasonable but not huge (the below was for 2 people)

Scallion pancakes - needed some salt but were good and the sauce was
Spicy dumplings - nice and crispy though not spicy at all
Crispy oyster mushrooms - batter tasted really fresh
Crispy eggplant - slightly sweet sauce
Both the mushrooms and eggplant came with brown rice

Green tea cake - a little dry but flavor was delicious
