Attempting Upscale - Edit
Locally in Reno/Sparks the Hinoki restaurants are known to be bougie with high price points. However I find this location to be lacking with decor and ambience, not a good date spot, and at a higher price for all-you-can-eat sushi compared to other places with more plant based offerings and luxury environment. The tables and chairs feel cheap, walls are plain, music switches between genres in a jarring fashion and distracts from conversation, silverware and plates are not particularly nice, waitstaff not particularly trained. So to me I don't understand why it would be more expensive than say Tokyo or Ijji or Kitzmo where the sushi is fresh yes but you also get a nice experience. However they do have at Hinoki a few plant based offerings and can alter sushi rolls to be more vegan friendly, which I appreciate considering their small pared-down menu is only one page
