Always find nice things here

Supplements, snacks, cosmetics- can all be found at H&b. The fridged stuff usually can’t be found at other supermarkets. Sometimes I discover new exciting products here, some of them at a reduced price or as part of a penny sale. Staff are generally very friendly and helpful.

Pros: Lots of products, Great offers , Friendly

Cons: Some of the products are overpriced

Expensive !!!!

Very expensive, not at all affordable for the every day vegan. better going to a local Edinburgh shop like Hanover Health foods or real foods. Order online if you want to save money

Pros: Vegan options

Cons: Expensive, Limited stock

cheap supplies

in reality a chain store. always handy for food supplies, and generally cheaper than anywhere else as they always have deals on. I don't go much, I would rather give my money to real foods, as they care about what they do
Better shops locally

Cons: chain store, unethical

Avoid

Avoid it's Holland and Barrett - there are plenty of local independent places in Edinburgh. New Leaf is the best, Jordan Valley great too, and then there is real foods. They are all worth the walk from here - both good for the health and the soul.

Cons: It's a chain

Holland and Barrett, Rose St, Edinburgh

I sometimes get things from H&B elsewhere when there's limited alternatives. In Edinburgh though there's plenty other choices. H&B isn't 100% vego selling for example things such as fish oil and whey protein. Its with over 500 branches nationwide, its hardly supporting the little guy.

Cons: Not 100% vego, Better options elsehwere in Edinburgh
